Harbor Freight — Local services in Rockford Township

My welder broke down... needed to exchange it, I called this place twice to make sure they had it, both times they said they had it... 2nd person even said yes I am looking at 2 right in front of me... so I called a 3rd time to let them know I was on my way I spoke to Tom "assistant manager"... everything was set and ready for me to hit the road, as soon as I said I wasn't buying it I was exchanging mine (FOR WHICH I PAID A NICE CHUNK OF $$$ FOR THE WARRANTY), he abruptly tells me in an extremely rude manner: WE DO NOT HAVE IT!!! ... This place and this Tom dude do not hold their word, so they sell you a tool and then they push the warranty and they you can not use the warranty... are they hoping that you will never use the warranty? I am pretty sure if I was buying it they would have had it but because I was rather exchanging it he quickly changed his tune and told me they did not have it. TOM MY MAN BUSINESS IS NOT ABOUT JUST SALES AND SALES IS RATHER ABOUT BEING COMMITED AND HOLDING YOURSELF AND YOUR STORE ACCOUNTABLE, IF YOU SELL A WARRANTY PEOPLE HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO USE IT, WHY? A trip to Harbor Freight is always fun. I roam through the aisles looking for things I didn't know I needed. They're always having "the biggest sale ever!!!11!!!zomg!! ". Many products here are cheap and good enough, certain things are cheap and you should avoid if you're any kind of serious about quality workmanship. Knowing the difference is for you to figure out. Minus 1 star because Chicago Electric (the store brand), i found out the hard way, does not make replacement parts for their products (or at least the table saw i had from them) even though they had a full parts diagram. One little flange washer and i'd have a working tool, but nooOOOooo.. I called the store (LOVES PARK, ILLINOIS LOCATION) to check the price of the central machinery belt sander 4×36in with the 6in disc sander on the side....SUMMER the girl on the phone gave me an attitude because I wanted to know why online says it is in stock in the store....so i speak to the manager....MIKE/MARK....something to that sort....he told me the online and in store are not connected and that the only location that has in store stock is janesville....told me about another product thats similar....I asked if they price match seems how the one i want isnt in stock like it says on THEIR WEBSITE.....told me no....NEVER WILL I SPEND MONEY AT HARBOR FREIGHT....SAD THIS IS MY FIRST TIME DEALING WITH THEM AND AFTER THIS EXPERIENCE....ILL GO TO MENARDS OR HOME DEPOT FROM NOW...
