HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, Saturday night after a couple friends and I went came from dinner, we decided to stop over at Oscar's my friend girl and I went in just fine, it was when my husband and his friend came in that the problem began. At the door they were asked to tick their chains in mind you the one my husband had on was a small cross, then as I was standing taking to my husband a security guard came up to him and said per our dress code you can't be in here with sweatpants on, my husband and I both baffled looked at each other and my husband asked who has on sweatpants, and the security guard just looked at us. My husband asked again and the security guard looked down at his pants and said, that is the dress code. My husband had on gray chino pants with a red polo, so we were both highly insulted that the security guard would come over and say that to him. We also saw some other patrons in the facility that were wearing sweatpants so we were confused as to why my husband (a black man) was approached this way. My husband is a prestigious man, he's a nurse manager and would never patronize a place with sweatpants on, plus seeing that we had just came from dinner across the street at Shogun, we were dressed nicely. We were VERY insulted and left because we will not spend our money in a place with BLANTANT discrimination. WE WILL NOT BE BACK...
Read more1 star is yoo many, but thats all it allows. Went in with a group for a friend's birthday. Reservation was for 6pm, drinks ordered right away, showed up about 20 minutes later. Food ordered before drinks came. Finally got my all you can eat walleye dinner at 750pm, and it was slimy inside, completely under cooked. Wife ordered a turkey sandwich with waffle fries, got her food at the same time, no waffle fries just regular fries. Most of the 20+ orders were wrong. When I told one of the servers my fish was still raw, he said ok, and that was the end of it. Never replaced it. Went to bar tender about it and was told, the kitchen closes in 10 minutes, but I can have them remake it and box it up for me if the fryers are on. I asked how exactly can you get all you can eat, to go? She said they'll just add an extra piece. I said take it off my bill since i didn't get dinner. Then the bill comes, 20% automatic gratuity for the worst service and experience ever. Said nope, not paying it. Just for the waitress to say its theft and they would have us arrested! This place is a joke!!!! Drive over 2 hours each way to go to the place and this is what you get?...
Read moreGreat food, atmosphere, and specials. The TV's are high quality and plentiful. Someone put a lot of thought into this bar, the ambience and the menu. This place has one problem - the SERVICE. It raked forever to get the food, and when you get it, it's cold. That means it's been sitting while the combination of six wait staff and bartenders are posing for multiple selfies, refreshing their hair behind the bar, hugging their boyfriends, and huddled at the corner of the bar talking to one another .
The staff makes a great place a very frustrating dining and drinking experience. Moreover, food safety seems to have no application here. The servers and bartenders are touching their hair, each other and even wiping noses before bringing entrees and pouring drinks. It must be a great place to work where you get paid for taking pictures, constantly checking social media and walking around the bar asking each patron if they ordered the entree you're holding while it gets cold.
Please fix this Oscars. I'll give you another chance, but you have to do...
