My wife and I have been customers for years always had good service. However, we’ve always purchased an in stock item. I worked with Judy in January to find a special gift for my wife for a bucket list item that was going to happen on March 30. Judy researched the product and we got together in February and I place the order. The three items were to arrive the week of March 20th no later. Judy assured me if this. Judy had verified this with the supplier .On March 25th I called and spoke with Judy to find out when I could pick it up. She recalled the meetings and conversations we had. We even discussed me offering to pay for it when we ordered it, and she had said to pay when I picked it up. During our conversation she said she doesn’t see and order She said she’d have to call me back. She knew I was getting upset. I asked her again if it was ordered to which she replied , “no”. She never even said she was sorry Years ago we became loyal customers purchasing many items through the years. Once CC was the place to go. No longer do we deal that way. After coming home I informed my wife that I had ordered her a surprise for the March 30th and told her if Judy’s errors. My wife reminded to me she had two more separate bad service occasions with Judy. Once was for a necklace repair that went bad saying the bracelet was a poorly made design and flawed. She had Judy look it up and it was a product Cc had sold her a Fred years prior. CC tried to fix the bracelet a few times , never to be success saying it’s the best they could do. Never offering to take it back, being a flawed bracelet. My wife also reminded me when she had a diamond ring brought in because the prongs were catching on her clothing. Judy told her the prongs would have to be replaced and there would be a cost for it. Again a store product. Turns out the jeweler who did the repair only filed down one prong, no cost. Was Judy trying to make money. Honestly I don’t know but suspect. My wife also purchased a watch for me at CC well over 10 years ago. It is a great watch. One of the sales pitch was that they would replace the battery for free every time it needs replacing. They said bring it in and we’ll replace it while you wait. This year I took it on for a yearly battery replacement and I was told I’d have to leave it and pick it up tomorrow. I spoke with the older gentleman and ge said it’s a new store policy. I then asked shouldn’t that policy be for products purchased after the new policy went into effect. He said no. It cost too much to have a jeweler there all the time. I then commented that it’s just a battery. Anyone could replace it. This now is another inconvenience. Now a 45 minute round trip is two 45 minute round trips. I’d prefer to pay someone else to replace the battery while I wait than be inconvenienced taking another trip . Now I wonder if the lifetime warranty will be void if someone else replaces the battery. Years ago we enjoyed the CC customer service. No longer. Good customer service seams to be a thing of the past. Especially now at CC. Others may still receive good customer service at CC like we had at one time but we no longer care to try...
Read moreMy grandmother is a repeat customer at Clodius & Co but after her experience today (8/15) she will no longer patronize this business. An employee Brian belittled her based on race and socioeconomic status. My grandmother wanted a necklace shortened and when she inquired with Brian, he said why would you want to have a this CHEAP $25 dollar necklace shortened. Then tried to back peddle when she showed him the price tag and specifications of her piece. I tried to call and speak with someone at Clodius & Co to resolve the situation and once again I was connected with Brian who tried to downplay the situation and she just perceived the situation the wrong way. Last time I checked your an employee, you should be trying to bring in business regardless of how “cheap” someone’s item is. IF YOUR A PERSON OF COLOR STAY AWAY, THIS IS NO LONGER A FRIENDLY SPACE!
UPDATE AS OF 8/17/18: I reached out on 8/15 when this event took place. When I spoke to Brian he was not apologetic, his response was “she took it the wrong way, she perceived the situation incorrectly”. When I called all I wanted was an apology, a simple “I’m sorry” would have sufficed. Brian couldn’t accept that he had did wrong. Brian’s “apology” was a walk around, a “I’m sorry but..” and...
Read moreI have been married to my beautiful wife for 15 years and wanted to get her something really special for our anniversary. She is a Hair Stylist with her own unique fashion style that can be difficult to find gifts for. The best way to describe it is retro bohemian mixed with modern trends. I wanted to get her a cuff bracelet to match her sleeve tattoo of a peacock with hair shears wove into it. I commissioned the piece at the end of August with Cathy and Tim to be ready for our December anniversary. Tim went above and beyond to listen to what I wanted and then get an idea of my wifes style without meeting her. He then came up with unique design that was exactly, dead on, what suited her. They also came in under budget! The cuff is sterling silver, left roughly finished for a retro feel/look, a ruby set into the shears with real peacock feathers held inside. The scene in front is a nod to her lifelong love of Alice in Wonderland as is the white rabbit carved out of mother of pearl on the inside. Thanks so much to the team at Clodius for bringing it to life (I think like 4 or 5 people were involved lol)!...
