Rosati's Pizza — Restaurant in Rockford Township

Tired and hungry from our travels, we stopped in Loves Park and looked up the best sounding pizza place in the area. We ordered a fabulous four 14" pizza, and a greek salad. They weren't terribly busy so promised the order would arrive in 30-45 minutes, we waited nearly 1 and half hours. When the pizza arrived we discovered we had NO salad dressing with our salad. We called right away. The waitress who answered said they would have someone bring it right away, with some cutlery and dishes, (no apology offered) as those were forgotten as well. While we were waiting, we noted that we had been overcharged for both the pizza and salad. The pizza was lack lustre and the topping and sauce were everywhere. Not much attention to detail or quality control. The salad, if you can call it that, was all lettuce (in a salad that technically shouldn't have had lettuce at all lol). The driver never showed up, we waited several hours then called it quits and went to bed. Before we did, we called and asked to speak to a manager. He was very gruff, and rude. We explained the situation calmly, and he offered up a rudely spoken "what do you expect me to do, take five dollars off the bill?". We said that was better than nothing and left it at that. The next day, he had not completed he refund, so we called back.. We reminded them that the delivery driver we were promised to have return with the missing items, never arrived. They said his car broke down. I asked if the visa machine had broken too, making it impossible to do the refund. He stated that he had done it. I said nothing was showing, and that at this point I just wanted my money back. He was rather rude, and stated that "at least he hadn't sworn at us" as apparently this is something he does. He agreed to refund the order in full. This was about a week ago, and still nothing has come through. We will be going to the better business bureau and visa to be making complaints, and filing a dispute with visa who doesn't take kindly to customers money being taken and the product not being delivered. As well as broken promises. You can't do this and expect to keep or get new customers.. Long story short. Buyer beware.. you don't want to waste your time or money here, and end up being rudely spoken to, and having nothing done.

Edited to add: we to date (02/03/2020), have received no refund despite promises of it three separate times. We were in contact with Visa to verify this today. A claim has been opened with them and the better business bureau in an effort to resolve this. I wouldn't care so much if I hadn't essentially been called a ,liar by whomever responded to this review, and if the manager had offered one apology, and not been rude to both of us. Moral of the story if you feel like taking the chance here.. go for it! We won't be back.

First off when I walked in the door 2 hours ago not one person looked up from their cell phone to even look at me. When I went to their hot slots game room. The heat was on so high which was completely unnecessary given the fact that it was beautiful outside. Not one person in two hours came in that room to say hello to ask me if I wanted something to drink nothing and when I was leaving two girls at the counter, two guys sitting down all talking to each other. Again not one single person even acknowledged my presence. Nobody said a word not even a thank you goodbye have a good day nothing please save your money and do not go to this place. Mine blown absolutely mind blowing. It’s really sad because this is one of my favorite pizza places. Nope never again That affected meme enough that I won’t even order food from them ever again customer...

Just ordered from Rosati's again & we couldn't be happier! Their customer service is phenomenal! They didn't have the original sauce that I ordered & instead of just adding a different sauce(like MANY so called high end restaurants in the area) they actually called me, apologized, & asked which sauce I would prefer.😁The ETA of the food was close to an hour which is normal, but the food arrived almost 30 minutes earlier! That was a sweet bonus...not one that I expect at all...just nice!! Lastly, they have got to be the only restaurant that delivers hot, fresh, crispy fries! Our kids usually have soggy fries when delivered & have come to expect that, but not Rosati's! Pasta is authentic & delish. We will def make them a regular spot...
