Bella Italy — Restaurant in Rockingham

I am not much on eating out right now due to everyone being on edge so I always just call in and order and pick it up bring it home and eat. Everywhere else in Rockingham except for Bella Italy and the Mexican restaurant right down the street has a tendency to screw my order all up. Anyway, my review of Bella Italy. I absolutely Love to eat from this place. For the most part I'm a creature of habit and don't really like change I am super finicky so it is really hard for me to try new stuff, so I used to always just order a large steak and cheese stromboli with extra steak. It is always cooked to perfection. Even though I don't like change I have actually ordered about everything on the menu. I must say everything I have ever ordered from here has been absolutely great. One of the very few places that I am able to make myself try different things. Wait staff is always super nice to me when I go in and pick my order up and they are very helpful and patient with me, as every time I go in there I ask them about the different types of desert they have in the cooler, I mean every single time. Their dessert is also very very very Delicious. I love this place. Please don't ever move from this location as you are so very close. Favorite place to eat and 3 minutes away. My family and I went to give this restaurant a try, what could go wrong right?? Well apparently everything! The lady that was serving us was incredibly rude to my mother. Service was slow, it took a whole 2 hours for everyone to receive their food. I received my fries before I even got my chicken tenders, and it took her another 30 minutes just to bring the chicken tenders out. Seriously??? They were dried out, it was as if they cooked them, left them out to sit, and cooked them again. They reached over our food and splashed tea all over my brother and father while trying to refill our cups, she didn't even apologize at all. Their wings my sister had ordered were not fully covered and they were just as dried out. A whole waste of money for disgusting food that took the longest wait EVER. My mother was furious and angry and asked for to-go boxes. You know what the lady does? Walk away and doesn't bring us our boxes for another 20 minutes. My father went to ask again and she finally went and go them, walking BACK into the room we were in, and retrieved the boxes. What the hell? You mean to tell me they were in here all along and when we asked you, you walked the opposite direction and made us wait a whole 20 minutes?? POOR SERVICE, POOR EVERYTHING! Visiting from out of town, my 4 small children and I walked in. No sign to wait on hostess. Made eye contact with an employee behind the counter but she walked to the back. So we sat down at a booth. She called over to me from the front door "how many in your party?" Then she brought over menus and said "drinks". I at first did not understand what she said, my 10yr old son noticed confusion on my face and repeated the word. As they looked over the menu i ordered onion rings to start. She came back within 2 minutes with them. Obviously they were prepared at some other time. We ordered, against my better judgment. Pizza was cold, my son ordered a cheesesteak sandwich that he asked for no peppers on but of course it came with. I asked for some ranch, that never showed up. I asked for a box immediately and had the kids pack up to leave. We had to check out at the front register with no receipt so the total she tells me i have to just trust is correct. I hand her my card and she says, "tip?" I was so shocked like ummm no thank you. But I was raised better than that so I left them 10% anyways. I would not recommend this...
