I can't believe I've never eaten here before. I've always heard great things about it, but I've just never gotten the chance to go. Well, that changed yesterday. We went for lunch and it was great! I asked the waitress what she recommended (because I wanted everything on the menu), and she recommended the Buffalo Chicken Wrap - which I was already eyeballing. It was delicious! I got that with a side of onion rings, and the onion rings were great, too. I dipped my wrap in their ranch dressing - also very good - and to keep it healthy, when I was paying for the check, I bought a piece of cake at the counter. Ha! The atmosphere there was nice. I know they recently remodeled - knew that from Facebook - and it was beautiful inside. A little hometown restaurant with everything you could want to eat, great staff, and great prices. What more could you want? Our waitress was so helpful and kind and kept checking in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. I will definitely be going back and taking my son, as I know he would love it there, too!...

I would love to know what the delicious meals everyone else is eating because nothing of what my husband and I consumed was good. Oh I lie, he said the coffee is fantastic and my sweet tea was rocking. I ordered two scrambled eggs with cheese and corned beef hash. Everything came out tasting like it was cooked in grease. The eggs were tinged with black grease as if they were friend right in a pan of bacon fat. Scrambled. No cheese on them. The coned beef hash was flipped around in what looks like the same exact stuff the egg was fried in. Homefries that came with it are potato slices boiled in grease. Awful. My husband got a steak omelet. Huge chunks of steak in, again, dirty greasy eggs. One side of the steak was cooked to a crisp the other side was gray. When they say cheap they mean it, the bill was a little over $20. I don’t care how cheap. Never again....
Read moreI went to Holiday Restaurant with my parents. My mom ordered breakfast and she liked her meal, minus the wheat bread she never got. (She ate my Texas toast.) My dad ordered BBQ, french fries, and fried okra; meal served with Texas toast and sweet tea. He ate ALMOST his entire plate. I ordered the Tuesday special of meatloaf, collards, and fried squash; meal served with Texas toast and unsweetened tea. The collards were literally cold. The meatloaf was literally smothered with ketchup, straight out of the bottle. Once I removed all of the ketchup, the meatloaf wasn't too bad, but it had a LOT more breading than the normal meatloaf. My fried squash was great! HOWEVER, I used to eat at the Holiday Resistant every week with my husband and they generally have really good food. I may have caught them on a bad day... Plus we arrived around 10:30am, which may account for the cold collards....
