Henry's Uptown Cafe — Restaurant in Rockingham

Henry's - was very dissatisfied today, Henry you better replace your back up cook fast!! The worst food came out of your kitchen today. ..upon entry I was told your ok but we are closed it was 11:30am your sign clearly stated 1:00 pm Saturday for holiday, could only order breakfast. ..had to get my own silverware. Someone came out the back turned open sign off, and the placecard on window to closed at 12:00pm.. asked for over med eggs got two hard fried eggs, hash brown's would break your teeth, then had to ask for my toast!!! Unfortunately my order was completely wrong. I was given an over easy egg on toast with 1 slice of burnt bacon cut in half. I order sausage with an over medium egg. The potatoes were undercooked, and there wasn't anything I'd considered fried about them. My husband ordered The Jake. The chicken was bland, and same issue with the potatoes. My friend was visiting from Virginia, and I was looking forward to treating her to a good breakfast on her last day (since we had heard great things about this place). Luckily, her food was decent just lacked salt, and same issue with the potatoes. Was looking forward to finally trying this place, but I don't think we'll return...

Breakfast was pretty terrible, inedible in fact. The "Western Omlette" was a paper-thin egg sheet wrapped around about 2 pounds of meat and vegetables. The home-fries were just raw french fries. The picture included shows after I sliced open the "omlette". I use that word in quotations because what they served me more resembled a yellow football than an omelette. The coffee was terrible too. I took one sip of coffee, two bites of food and paid for my meal before getting something to eat at biscuitville. Perhaps being the only person in the restaurant should've posed fair warning to me.

I can't speak for the other meals, but avoid this restaurant for breakfast...
