I heard about Mario’s from a coworker who told me it was one of the best breakfast places she had ever been to. Either she has horrible taste or went to the only good location. I brought two people with me to try it out, our food ended up costing over 70$ before tip…that is insane for 3 people. The atmosphere was horrendous, so loud we couldn’t even have a conversation during the meal. Our waitress was ok but not really friendly. Never came by to refill our waters and never even asked if we wanted refills the 3-4 times we did see her.
We had one singular glass of orange juice and that cost almost 5$. We each ordered something different so that we could try a little bit of everything. I ordered the biscuits and gravy meal that comes with bacon sausage eggs and hashbrowns. The hashbrowns were not edible, it was like they had shredded raw potato on my plate and not cooked them at all. The eggs were so runny and the bacon was burnt. After a few bites I ended up only eating the sausage. My biscuits and gravy came out 5 minutes after. The gravy was disgusting and the top biscuit was so dry and stale. When I thought I was hitting the bottom of the bowl it was actually the bottom half of the biscuit. It was rock hard. I pulled it out of the bowl the bottom of it was black and burnt. I ate maybe 2 bites of the biscuits and gravy.
The rest of the table had an all meat scramble, strawberry French toast and a chorizo and egg burrito. The all meat scramble was alright but not worth the money. The chorizo burrito tasted like pretty much nothing and was full of mostly unseasoned potato chunks. The French toast was ok but nothing special, once again just really tough bread. I think my favorite part of my meal was the tapatio I had to put on it to make anything edible after the first bite. I mentioned to the waitress that the food was really bad and she just said “ok do you want me to take the plates?” Those plates still had most of my meal on them because so much of it was disgusting. I left still hungry $70+ less in my wallet and really disappointed...
Read moreMario’s Early Toast has truly become our family’s home away from home. Every time we walk through the doors, we’re greeted with warmth, kindness, and that wonderful feeling of being genuinely cared for. Our recent visit was nothing short of amazing!
Our waiter, Cristiana, went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. From the moment we sat down, she treated us like family, checking in with a smile, remembering little details, and making sure we had everything we needed before we even had to ask. That kind of genuine service is rare these days, and it means so much to us.
And the food, wow! Every single dish came out beautifully plated, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor. You could tell the cooks put their heart and soul into every plate. The timing was incredible too, everything came out fresh and fast, but with the care and quality of a fine dining experience.
It’s not just the food that keeps us coming back, though. It’s the atmosphere, the people, and the feeling we get every time we’re here. There’s something so special about this place, it’s where our family laughs, celebrates, and makes memories together.
We’ve been to a lot of restaurants, but none have ever made us feel the way Mario’s Early Toast does. Thank you to Cristiana and the entire team for always making our visits unforgettable. This will always be our family’s favorite place to eat, connect, and enjoy great food made...
Read moreI am giving two stars because I was not given a meaningful chance to try either their food or beverages. I only experienced their lack of service. I was a party of one and asked to sit outside… Many tables available (Half or less of them were occupied)but I was told there was nothing available on the patio. I was a party of one so I got the hint ...they were saving the four tops and two tops for larger parties than one. So at the suggestion of the hostess I sat at the bar. I sat at the bar for nearly 15 minutes, read the menu cover to cover and was ready to order one of their eight dollar bloody Mary's as soon as I sat down. I sat there with no water, no drink order, no food order, no eye contact,… No acknowledgement of any kind from any of the three staff working behind the bar. After nearly 15 minutes I quietly left. Sadly for them, I would've happily ordered one of their bloody Mary's and waited patiently for my food order because they were busy… Not slammed but busy. Had they given even a simple acknowledgment that that beverage service was on the way, I would've waited for that too.if I do go back, and that is doubtful, I will be sure to bring a flare gun or a big fluorescent orange highway flag in order to give some hope of being noticed. Here's a hint guys: it is almost universally understood in the restaurant world that single parties sit at the bar or the counter for more...
