Chick-fil-A. The Rolls Royce of chicken-centric fast food, established under the Chick-fil-A brand in in Georgia in 1967. Still owned by the founder's family and not some megalithic corporation, this is a fast food shop that appears to have a heart, no interest in politics and very keen on concentrating on good products sold at over 2,200 locations.
This review is for the Roseville location on Serria College and Douglas Blvd, a recently built restaurant with a decent drive-through. Although very busy at peak times, their customer management is good, with staff assigned to take your order in the line itself when the number of cars exceeds capacity.
The menu obviously centers around chicken, but there is variety, from burritos to the almost perfect Cobb salad which itself has seven versions. Fruit and wraps are also prominent on the menu, but there are no French fries. Instead there are what they call waffle fries, crinkle cut slices of potato with holes in.
The food itself is good. Chicken is always moist and doesn't have the texture of recycled rubber sold at some other restaurants. Salads are fresh and their sauces are some of the best available. My personal favorite, avacado lime ranch, is sold with the Cobb Salad and made by Mazetti. The nearest supplier is Smith Food and Drug in Reno, NV. because I know you will be like me and want to buy it to replace the unused bottle of Kraft stuck on the fridge door.
So, now the downside: Chick-fil-A is not cheap and on the high end of the price scale. This may be overlooked for great food, but seriously, the 'waffle potato fries' are lacking in taste, texture and certainly not worth two dollars. Even Carl's Jr serve better fries.
But overall, great food, great staff and worth the effort to...
Read moreChick-fil-A is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is delicious and the customer service is excellent. I always enjoy eating here, whether it's for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
The chicken sandwiches are juicy and tender, and the waffle fries are crispy and seasoned. I also love the nuggets, the salads, and the wraps. The sauces are amazing, especially the Chick-fil-A sauce and the honey mustard. The lemonade and the milkshakes are refreshing and satisfying.
The staff are friendly and courteous, and they always greet me with a smile. They are quick and efficient, and they make sure my order is correct and fresh. They also go the extra mile to make me feel welcome and appreciated. They say "my pleasure" and "have a great day" every time.
The restaurant is clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing. There is always enough seating and parking, and the drive-thru is fast and convenient. The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous.
I would highly recommend Chick-fil-A to anyone who loves chicken and great service. It is a wonderful place to eat and have a good time. I give it five stars...
Read more4 stars because the majority of the time the service is quick, the food is fresh and the staff is great.. however I recently had a poor experience when I dined in. My daughter was playing in the kid area so our food was delivered to our table while unoccupied. I noticed our tray on our table so we went to eat, when I arrived there was strawberry shake all over the table as if someone had dropped it on its side when they set it down. So I thought the food runner would be back to tend to the mess and bring another drink.. to my surprise.. nothing.. I had to clean it up myself and bring my cup back to the counter to request a new beverage. The entire time this is happening my food is getting cold, so I sit down to eat and my sandwich was made wrong.. how.. I'm not sure, I ordered a spicy deluxe with no modifications... I'm furious at this point so I just shovel it in.. To the team that day.. a little detail goes a long way, we understand you guys get slammed most of the day but slowing down and paying attention to detail will go a long way.. 9 out of 10 times I have a wonderful experience so I will continue...
