Ok, the atmosphere in this bar and outside is pretty awesome. I do love the design, lighting and set up of the outdoor space with fire pits and sometimes live bands. It has SO much potential if it weren’t for the snooty staff and unreasonable prices. My boyfriend and I would stop in for a couple drinks here and there in the past and wouldn’t mind the high prices because of the atmosphere and previous staff was pleasant..For example: 3 glasses total of their “house wine” came to $45. I can’t help but walk away and think I could have bought 2-3 bottles of good wine for that! But when we were in last time, We sat down at what I would consider, a not busy bar. There were 2 other couples there and we weren’t greeted by the African American bartender, or even acknowledged. We sat there just waiting, because when you come into a bar, you want a drink! It got to the point where we started wondering if there was something about us she didn’t like, although we were dressed posh and definitely belonged there. There was no acknowledgment, or greeting.. an I’ll be right with you, or even a smile in our direction. She finally, in an unreasonable amount of time put 2 menus in front of us. Still no acknowledgment. I said, “Oh it’s ok, we know what we want and we’re just here for drinks.” As she continued to walk away. We were now like, WTH?! Waited even longer while she slowly made a drink for someone and finally the newer older gentleman walked behind the bar as he had been doing before. I was ready to walk out and said to him, Excuse me, but is it possible that we just order 2 glasses of wine? We’ve been here quite a while. He did very slowly get us those. I get that he was new, but She just watched the situation and still did and said NOTHING! I’m a bartender myself and could never imagine acting this way to paying customers. It’s not like she was busy at all…. We finally started to head outside to the patio with our wine since there was a band playing and the vibe at the bar sucked. It was 1.5 hours before closing and they were taking all the chair pads from the benches around the fire pits so nobody could sit there. I’m guessing to make their jobs easier for closing, but it was a lot early. We sat at a high table because that’s all that was available and watched the newer guy walk up to other tables and ask them if they wanted anything. Our glasses were now empty, but he never came to us! We had to go up to the bar inside and order again. After that, we didn’t want to stay anymore. We finished and left. Too bad because we probably would’ve spent a great deal there, but didn’t feel welcome. I would advise the management to hire better staff, since, due to this experience, we’re not interested...
Read moreI wanted to give this place another shot after not enjoying my previous visits a few years back. They were advertising these amazing Vanilla bean old fashioned and line dancing. Hands down one of the worst old fashioned I ever had. It taste like they used Vanilla Torani super sweet and artificial (absolute trash). I expected way more being this place is known for good drinks. The beer selection is weak as well. All the whiskeys on back bar are super stacked and thrown together cant even see half the bottles very cluttered and unorganized. The line dancing was ok but only like 5-7 people total so the energy was not there and they played more top hits than country music which was strange too. There was a group of us, we ordered appetizers and were brought out 1 plate and 1 place setting. Considering it was dead in there common sense would be to bring additional plates and place settings. We had to get up and get our own from the server station. Server never checked with us again to see if we wanted another round or anything. Super disappointed in the service, food, and drinks. Even the food was luke warm at best. Almost as if the only dish they made sat out for 5mins before being brought out. I don't get what all the hype is about, I've been here at least 5-6 times in the last 5 years and each time they drop the ball...I would suggest spending less time promoting all the amazing food, service and atmosphere and actually focus on providing what is advertised. Only reason I didn't give this 1 star is one guy working there was super friendly and in good spirits. Wont be coming back and suggest you don't either considering how over priced the regular menu is for...
Read moreI was absolutely thrilled when I received an invitation to my co-worker's birthday party at this amazing place! Let me tell you, the moment I walked in, was greeted by the super friendly bartender, Benjamin. He was so polite and even offered me a drink menu right away. But, being the patient person that I am, I decided to wait for the rest of my dinner party before ordering.
Guess what? As I was waiting, I casually asked Benjamin if they had a table reserved for our party. And you won't believe it, the owner was sitting right there and had just prepared a room for a party of 12! I couldn't help but walk over to the owner, who was just as polite, nice, and as Benjamin. He personally showed to the room where our party would be held. And to my surprise, he had prepared the most stunning charcuterie board that was simply out of this world!
I struck up a conversation with the owner and made sure to let him know how delighted I was with the staff and that incredible charcuterie board. Seriously, it was a masterpiece! But that's not all, my friend. I also had the chance to chat with some of the other patrons, and they were raving about the place. They said it felt like "Cheers" in there, where everyone knows your name. How cool is that?
Oh, and let me tell you, they even had gluten-free options on the menu! As someone who follows a gluten-free diet, that made me incredibly happy. And the drinks? Oh boy, they were absolutely delicious!
I had such an amazing time at this place, and you can bet your bottom dollar that I'll be coming back for more. It's...
