As a long-time area resident, I have fond memories of Armand's Pizza as a great option for good pizza and a great environment.
We ordered carryout online the other night and I was shocked at the poor service and attitude from several staff when I went to pick up the order.
When I got to the restaurant, a few minutes before my order was supposed to be ready, I was told it would be five minutes. No problem there. After about 15 minutes, I was getting ready to ask again about the order, but another lady who had been waiting before I arrived stepped up first. She politely asked about her order and noted she had been also told five minutes but she was approaching 25-30 minutes at that point. The girl working the front counter was unprofessional and rude to the customer, saying the system just says five minutes but she has no way to know what other orders are in front of hers. She then told the lady to "not raise her voice to her" which was inappropriate as the customer had not raised her voice, but had only asked why it was taking so long. The customer then asked for a manager.
Before the manager approached, another staff member stepped in without offering any additional assistance. When the manager came up, he was somewhat apologetic but did not appropriately address the customer's concerns about the way she had been treated. At this point, her order came up and she departed.
At this point, another staff member who was working the floor came up and curtly asked me what I needed. I told her I had the same issue - I had been told five minutes and was wondering how much longer it would be. I had been waiting about 15 minutes, so I wasn't particularly upset - I just wanted to know how much longer it would be. She immediately became rude and started going off about how busy they were and that I just needed to wait. By the way, she approached me - I hadn't even asked a question when she started the conversation. There were a grand total of 2 tables in the restaurant. I am sure they had delivery and takeout orders to prepare, but being reasonably polite isn't too much to ask.
Over the prior 20 minutes or so I had noted how lackadaisical and unhurried the staff appeared to be. She continued to argue with me in an entirely unhelpful way and added nothing positive to the experience. At no point did the manager offer to assist. My pizza came out and I left appalled at how the staff there treats their customers. If I hadn't witnessed the previous interaction and been given a realistic wait time, I wouldn't have had any issues to raise, but the experience as it unfolded left a bad taste in my mouth.
I've given two stars because the pizza was actually pretty good, but until they train the staff on how to provide a positive experience for guests (and hopefully are realistic with wait times), I will not...
Read moreWalked in for the first time because I was told by family to go and try the “amazing” food they sold. I went and trusted my family. Went in no one acknowledged my family and I and we just sat down on a clean table that was infront so once server came she would see us. Of course if we don’t have menus of drinks, means we haven’t been helped yet. When we sat down, we made sure we were socially distant from other customers in case that was a concern. After that, this server name Talia, was yelling from the cashier area to our table talking about there is sign and next time you come wait till I choose for where you can sit and with a bad attitude. When she brought us the menus, I said well we sat because we understood you are busy. Get this at that time, only like 3 tables were filled. So when I said that to her she flipped and gave more attitude saying that she was not going to take our order and started cursing. As a first time customer, I was getting ready to leave and go somewhere else but decided to at least try the food. The another server came and assisted us super nice lady. Food took a while to come and other foods for customers that came last way after us, got theirs good way before us we waited like 45 min for the food and the pizza was not as hot anymore. All we ordered was deep dish Hawaiian and chicken tenders with fries for my son. Took forever. I felt like that girl talia might of told the cook to make our food last just because she was mad. Please find better people to serve your customers especially as first time customers the first impression was Horrible! Read moreThe customer service was absolutely terrible. The waiter was not attentive and unprofessional. From the time we were seated, till we were served was about 15 mins (after he said just a couple of mins). The waiter kept us waiting again to go run back and grab a pad of paper to take our order, because he forgot. We did not even get beverages for probably 20 mins. We ordered one large pizza to dine in and waited for an hour for the food. Another family that ordered just before us were served and done eating before we even got any food. After about 40 mins of waiting with no interaction at all, the waiter said it would be another 10 mins, but it was another 15. While we were waiting he never checked in with us, or even refilled our water the entire time we were there. There were only two groups of people dinning in at the time including us. The waiters were gossiping at the counter during this as well. To top it off, the waiter asked me to help pick up the plates for him to clear the table. The other customers that came in after we finally got our food, had ordered and received their food in less than 20 mins. We had only ordered a large pizza. In total from the time we entered and when we left, it was 2 hours. The pizza was not worth this...
