Well, I just edited my original post. I love their pizza. But ran into a customer service issue. Today is Oct 4th, 2024. Ordered a pizza and sub. Pizza fine. But sub wasn't. Took a bite, and it didn't taste right. Look in it and looked like some seasoning on it I didn't ask for. I ordered a ham and cheese sub. And specifically asked for a ham and cheese...lettuce, tomatoe and mayonnaise only. Ordered by phone around 4 pm. To go order got home, took a bite and something didn't taste right. Just called up and asked what could be on it. He told me that it was Italian dressing. I said I want a ham and cheese with lettuce tomatoes and mayonnaise only. I was told I need to ask not to put that on. I said I asked for LTM only. And only means only right. He said no and that I need to ask not to put that on. Two things... when I was ordering and said LTM only. I could have been asked what about the Italian dressing we put on, and of course, I would have said no. I said, "Doesn't that mean when I said only means only?" He says no, sorry. I told him I'm throwing it out because I couldn't eat it. Oh well, nothing I can do. I mean, come on, he could have replaced it or given me a credit. I wasn't asking for my complete order to be replaced. Not very good customer service. And I drive up there from Bethesda to give them business. So now I have to think about driving up there again. Just spent $40 today. Not counting all the money I've spent in the past. Promoted verbally how good they are. And gave them a great review. I just edited my review to this. Because I need people to know what happened. I should have asked for his name. I would have no problem posting...

The first time I stumbled onto this pizza spot was about 5 years ago. I'm from New York and I had been searching the DMV for good NYC styled pizza place for some time. This was the first place that sold pizza by the slice [not jumbo size] and had a similar cheese and thin crunchy crust like the mom and pop shops back in NYC. At the time they also sold Birch Beer which was a plus. I went back recently and they no longer sell Birch Beer, but they do have root beer. The pizza still has that thin crispy crust and stringy cheese that I like. I ordered the lunch special, which is essentially two slices and a soda for about $6 . As you can see from my pics, they didn't skim on the the extra toppings I added. My only gripe is that the toppings aren't baked in when the pizza is originally cooked. Instead, the pizza is reheated with the toppings added on top. [Just a for warning for those who may care about that sort of thing.] With that aside, I still enjoyed the crunchy crust and stringy cheese goodness that lingered as I took my first bite. Next time I'll probably just get plain cheese. Also, I love that they have parmesan, oregano, red pepper flakes, AND garlic powder! So many pizza places don't have all four of these condiments in the DMV! I got there around 11:30am; just before the lunch crowd of what appeared to be mostly teenagers and a few construction workers. The location has plenty of space for a large groups and bar height seating to individuals. There's even outdoor seating So I'm sure this place is busy during the summer, especially with the movie theater...

NY style, but without NY flavor or texture? Flavorless crust, crunchy but without chewiness. I've had better twice-baked pies. Cheese was good, sauce is lightly flavored, sparse, but needs a little more 'something.'. Decent for a quick fix, but nothing I would venture out to get. I had their pizza by the slice and I don't know if the full Pizza is any different. My NY friend said she likes Papas John's crust better, and that's not NY style either. I'm really surprised by the shop quoting Wash Post about their pizza review, but maybe their full pies are better. Online fact check shows they may have had NY style in 1986, possibly 2007 (Different name?)... But trust me, times have changed... Or the Wash Post reviewer got fired. 3/4/4, but food quality and flawed advertising drags it down to a 3. At least put the year of a writeup you're quoting, unless you're intentionally trying to mislead people.

Got into town on business at 7pm. Was hungry and wanted something quick. Found this place and was unsure. Slices later at night 2hrs before closing? I walk in and order. I get my slices and they look tremendous. I’m checking out the place and notice Pittsburgh memorabilia on the walls. I find a framed article that the owners are former Pittsburghers. Now I know why the pizza was so good. They are modeled after the famous Aiellos in Pittsburgh. One of the holy trinity of pizza in the burg. This place says they have been open for 20+yrs in the area. Let me tell you this late night, open for years and the pizza did Aiellos justice. Great work. I visit often for work and will definitely return. Love it when Pittsburghers spread their wings and thrive. Amazing!

Friday night is Family Pizza Night at our house and we normally order delivery, but since this place is in the Rockville Town Square right next to our Regal movie theater, we decided to walk. So glad we did! Very friendly staff behind the counter who paid me a compliment. I’m amazed how far that simple thing goes in customer service. Being nice to customers is free. I love that they get that here. Anyway, we waited a few minutes for our custom pizza to be made and watched other customers treated with the same kindness. Refreshing to see in this day and age. We walked the pizza back home and it was delicious. Can’t say how authentic it is to New York style pizza (and don’t really care). This is our neighborhood pizza joint and we will be back!
