I think the best word to describe my experience is disappointing. I had seen a few posts on social where the space and food looked very inviting, I also checked the reviews here and on Yelp and found that the majority were positive reviews so I decided to try it this past Sunday. We were quickly approached and invited to be seated as soon as we entered the space. Then a waiter came to check if we were ready and offered water. Until that point all good. When the waiter came back with the water we placed our order. We ordered the mac and cheese and two crispy chicken sandwiches with fries. The food took over 25 to come out, first the mac and cheese which was nothing else but a very artificial sauce that had been added tons of black pepper. To be honest, I am not even sure if that was pepper or black tiny pieces of a burnt pan. And I am not sure about this because the flavor of the sauce was just weird, off putting. About fifteen minutes later (40’ total wait time now) the two sandwiches came out, both completely cold and dry, the bun had not even been toasted, just cold bread holding the chicken, thick pickles, and tons of cabbage. The fries were also cold, with this so call “snow seasoning”, which is some sort of cheddar, parmesan and sugar powder mixed together (per what the waiter said) that I really did not enjoy being on my fries. The sandwiches were supposed to have truffle mayo inside which I could not taste. To be honest, we ate the food because we were hungry and tired of waiting. The place was not packed but they seemed to have pick up orders and were preparing for an event. God for them, you know? But you have to prepare your kitchen team to meet the standards you have set. Unless, what I got is what they usually serve. I know there are a bunch of other things in the menu that I haven’t tried but the name of the place has the word chicken in it so, chicken sandwiches and anything with chicken in it should be the best in the house! Our waiter was nice and he answered our questions, he would disappear from time to time but it’s not like we need him urgently. The ambiance is pretty normal, nothing crazy but good music. I don’t think I would be going back. Too many...
Read moreCame here on a slow monday, (there was only one other table sitting when we came in). No one welcomed us in, so we just sat down because we weren't sure if we had to wait for someone to sit us or if it was a sit yourself situation. We are familiar and love other korean fried chicken in the area so naturally were excited about a new spot in the area. The menu was definitely inviting and intices you to order a couple dishes. We ended up ordering the soy garlic wings, cheese corn and fries with cheese snow. We got our side dishes first, and immediately were let down as both the fries and corn lacked seasoning. Think of those very doughy fries you get in the freezer section and a can of corn just throw in a skillet with mozzarella melted on top. Very underwhelming. We remained hopeful for the chicken wings to come…only they didn’t. We waited about 25 minutes after recieving our corn and fries and still no wings. Both our server and two other gentlemen who look like they could of been managers neglected to check in on us and we looked around waiting for our wings. Once we finally were able to get ahold of our server and let her know, she acted surprised that we didn’t have our chicken…yet she was our server and was the one bringing out our dishes. So did she forget to put the order in? Regardless, who gets a chicken wing meal and doesn’t want to enjoy it with their side dishes?! We shouldn’t have been waiting that long, no one checked on us, and we understand mistakes happen but no accountability was taken if the order wasn’t placed or was forgotten. As a new establishment, and on a slow day, do better. We will not be returning. Save your money and goto...
Read moreMy family was excited to try this new spot after driving by a few times and we really needed a pick me up tonight so we thought we would treat ourselves to Pelicana. I'm glad we ended up ordering pick up because I cannot even begin to imagine the service we would have received if we had dined in.
I placed my order online at 6:42 PM with a pickup time of 7:11. When I arrived around 7:05, the man told me it would be 10 mins. That's fine. At 7:20, he told be it would be 3 mins. At 7:30, I finally left with my 5 items (3 mains and 2 sides). When I asked to speak to a manager, a waitress wanted to gaslight me arguing that I had not just waited almost an hour for 5 items. The lack of accountability is frustrating to say the least. She said that the kitchen was busy. In the 30 minutes I stood there waiting, no other pick up orders had come through, only 2 dine in parties arrived, and only a total of about 15 tables were being serviced. (To what "unexpected" rush and "multiple large groups" are we referring to? The 2 parties that were seated were parties of 2. Only 2 or 3 tables had more than 4 people.) A 48 minute wait is NOT JUSTIFIED for this type of establishment with this type of customer flow. Just as I was about to cancel the order, my food came out. Unfortunately, I actually ended up liking the food. But at the end of the day, I paid $120 for 3 main dishes and 2 sides, waited an hour for my food, and was argued with by a waitress when all I wanted to do was speak with a manager. 1 positive and 3 negatives does not make me believe I will be returning especially when 2 of those negatives...
