Even though the dishes seem pretty well, however, the service over there is horrible. Here is my experience. When I came in to the restaurant, there is no seat, So I waited at the door. Whenever someone came in, freezing cold wind blows in after the door opens. The waitress yelled and blaming the customer for letting the door stay open for too long. And then guess what, ask me to stand in front of the counter, instead of standing by the door, yelling and frowning. Then finally we are going to be seated, the table hasn’t been cleaned, again the waitress blame me gave her too much pressure, but guess what I didn’t say anything. Your anxiety is not my problem. The noodles taste well, but the portion is really small. Two mouth full, that’s the portion. At last we finished meal, planning check out, the waitress slammed the receipt on the table without a word. They were beyond rude. Such an awful experience, I don’t believe they will improve their service in the future. They should blame themselves weren’t able to find a way to block the cold wind, but they blame their customers; and they weren’t able to serve so many customers, and then they complained and blame their customers, as if they should not be there. I mean their waitress really need more training, but in the same time I doubted such kind of person would ever realize what they did wrong. They are not kind and friendly in the beginning, then they will stay rude and...
Read moreThe noodle soup was delicious, service was extremely fast - we ordered, gyoza appetizer came out so fast (maybe within a minute), and noodle soups came out shortly after. The amount of food is great for the price point. They give more food than a Japanese ramen place, the taste is comforting and not overly salty. I got the original broth with pork chop. It comes with a variety of veggies so it feels cleaner, lighter, and healthier too. I will definitely go back, maybe try it during lunch. Another plus from this experience is we got to eavesdrop on another table discussing all the best Chinese restaurants in the area and where to get the best food! I wish...
Read moreShimiaodao in Rockville delivers a wonderful experience every time. The rice noodle soup was deeply flavorful and comforting, with rich broth, tender meats, and perfectly cooked noodles. You could either do the DIY hot pot-style setup or have them prepare everything ready to eat right away.
The portions are generous, and the ingredients always taste fresh. The price was very reasonable.
Service is quick and efficient, and the restaurant is clean and welcoming. A fantastic place to warm up and enjoy a satisfying meal—definitely one of my go-tos in Rockville!
The seating area is limited, but I had no issue finding a table around 6 pm on a...
