This was my 3rd time visiting this place. My 1st visit was great! The food was good! The last 2 gave a bad impression of this restaurant. The 2nd visit, I had the tofu fried rice lunch special that was just "ok." 3rd visit, which was today. The food was gross! Not sure if they gave me old rice. 🤢😒 I wasted $16.00!😒 It was so dry and bland. I order crab fried rice and got it spicy. Normally, when I order spicy food. It is tolerable and a good tasty spice. I actually love spicy food. But, that crab fried rice was horrible!!! Hardly any crab, it was fire spicy to the point I could not eat it! It tasted like they just dumped hot spicy pepper in the rice and mixed it up. I was not good at all! I wanted to return the food, but they closed at 3:00 today! I believe there's a different chef during lunch time. You can tell a difference in the food! My first order was during dinner time and that food was good! Also, The guy that waited on me was pretty rude! Go elsewhere! There are other Thai restaurants that have great food and respect your hard earned money that support their businesses!

Really terrible customer service. The waiter did not want to answer the questions about menu and just said they will come back when we had decided. When we asked if the spring rolls were freshly made there then they rudely replied it says in the menu that it is crispy so it would not be fresh. They gave one napkins each and when asked for more napkins they responded that first use one that napkin. They also said they allocate napkins so it does not go to waste. Then they brought one more napkin when insisted. We just had appetizers and left because of bad customer service and did not even eat the main food. The two waiters did not even care much and they did not want to give their names. Then they mentioned their name as Paul and Nate. The restaurant owner should really work on training on hospitality and professionalism for their staff. Such bad employees can bring down the business.

We wanted to try something new and not part of a chain restaurant that was Thai food. So we landed here and were not disappointed. The place can probably sit about 40 people but has a lot of carry out/delivery business while we ate there. We ordered the fish balls, fried tofu, scallion dumplings and Tom yum soup to share as a family. Everything was very good and came out quickly. My favorite were the fish balls, you get 9 total, 3 per skewer. I ordered the spicy catfish which was very good and not too spicy. My wife got the crispy rice salad which was good but tough to chew after awhile. My son got the pork skewers which he said was very good but a little tough to get off the skewer. We shared a mango sticky rice for dessert. The staff is very good and efficient, overall a great place to visit and will come back again.

Best Thai Thai Mai farang style. If you understand what I’ve said, this place is an absolute must. Great Bangkok style!! Remind me of some of the tastiest street and family owned restaurants in Thailand. The main popular dishes are awesome. One of my favorites and very hard to duplicate is the crab fried rice. You may so what but if you’ve been to Thailand, you know it’s like trying to find the elusive unicorn. It’s just not the same here in the states. It takes me back to eating in Bangkok Chinatown or Siam Paragon eateries, or even better when eating near Chon Buri’s restaurants near seaside. Wildest and fondest eating spot is at Jattujak or street food near Baiyoke center. The absolute crazy memories after shopping!!!What a joyful flash back on the very first taste. Wow!!! Must have the papaya salad with the fried chicken. Or my favorite the Nam Khao. Wow!!! Wow is the only word I can say. I’m so very happy to FINALLY find a place that taste very similar to Thai food style back in Thailand. Truly a great EPICUREAN DELIGHT TO WOW THE TASTE BUDS!!!! Ka Pun Mak Krup Thai Cusine Resturant. Ka Pun!!!

Want to taste why I’m happy? Try out the following dishes. You’ll truly enjoy it.

Dinner for 2-4 people Option 1 Appetizer: Papaya Salad Appetizer: fried chicken Panang Curry (Chicken) Crab Fried Rice (My favorite) or Drunken Beef Fried Rice (it’s on the sweet side) Dessert: mango w/ sticky rice. (This is an absolute must)

Option 2 Larb Gai (Thai salad e/ minced chicken-it’s vinaigrette thai style) Nam Khao w/ thai sausage (My all time favorite street food) Any of the main meat dishes but I prefer Crying Tiger (Beef) or get their soup Boat Noodle Or if you prefer Pad See you (Beef w/...

The most racist experience I have ever had. I have come here since 2016 no issues but the two times I have come here recently, I was treated with much disrespect. I ordered a vegetarian fried rice, and they gave it to me with shrimp, I said, I ordered the vegetarian, and they said they would fix my order when all they did was take the shrimp out of my fried rice. Luckily, one of my coworkers noticed that they just took the shrimp out of the fried rice still exposing me to shrimp, I could’ve had an allergy attack and this could’ve been more serious. They gave me new fried rice but with an attitude. Ok, whatever. It’s fine. The following week I decided to go back because it was just an accident, so I ordered my food thai spicy. For context, I am Indian, so I can handle my spice and I order thai spicy regularity, but the dish they gave me was honestly too spicy to eat. So I said to the server this is too spicy can you please remake it, he in a mocking tone said “oh, you can’t handle your spice?” I explained to him that I am Indian, and I eat spicy food very regularly. Then another worker from the restaurant started yelling at me, and they both started ganging up on me. I paid for my food and I left. They will never see me again. All I’m saying is if this was a white customer, they would’ve handled it and that customer would’ve gotten new food and an apology. What I got was a...

Updated review: I've been to Thai Cuisine twice in the last few months (probably around 15 times in my life now haha) and both times have been wonderful. I didn't realize they reduced their hours during the pandemic and I placed an order shortly before they closed. They let me know it would take 20 minutes so I ended up showing up to pick up my carry out order 15 minutes after they closed. They were very gracious about it, which I appreciated. As I ordered enough food to feed my family of 5, we ordered a few dishes that we usually don't when it's just two of us. This included the green curry which is now my favorite dish. Other great choices are their beef pad see ew and any of their fried rice dishes with chicken. This last visit was great and bumped my review from 4 to 5 stars due to the wonderful service and delicious food. This is my favorite thai restaurant and I try to get anyone who visits Rockville to eat here with me :)

Older review: Food is great and portions are huge. I had a bad experience with waiting around 20 minutes longer than the estimated carry out time that they gave me which was frustrating. I'd rather be warned of a long wait time than come early and wait at the busy restaurant for 20 minutes. Overall, would order here again. Just might come 20 minutes later...
