Boots Burger — Restaurant in Rockwall

First time to visit Boots Burger, but I don't think it will be the last! I got a double cheese/double meat burger and two regular cheeseburgers and 3 chips for a little over $15. I didn't think it would be enough to fill us up when I saw the burgers in the sack. Wrong. My son only ate about half of the double meat/cheese burger and saved the rest for later.

Every one of us wanted our burgers fixed different. One wanted no mustard or tomatoes, one wanted no veggies, one wanted mustard... Everything was cooked to order.

Please note: It is a cash-only burger joint. And, you'll need 75 cents per soft drink desired. You'll get them yourself out of the coke machine.

Don't think you'll sit and eat a leisurely meal at Boots. This is a come and get it and take it somewhere else kind of place. And, don't think it is easy to find, either :) It is in the middle of a neighborhood, stuffed back a bit. My GPS said I had arrived and I was going, "I did? Where???"

I read that Boots often runs out of meat early ... and when they run out of meat, they close. I got there about 11:30 on a Wednesday. I expected a long line, but there was only one person ahead of me. The phone was ringing off the wall, though, with call-in orders. It took about 5-10 minutes for my burgers...

This is a five star burger. It’s full of flavor! Took me back to when I was a kid at old time whataburger..

We have been meaning to try it but as you can see the hours are a little tight but today we happened to be in the area at the right time and now after trying it I do not mind inconveniencing myself to have another one! It is a MUST try. If you are reading the reviews looking for a sign to stop by this is the sign!!

It seems to be connected to a house which threw us off a little bit because we were looking around for a commercial space but when we arrived and spotted it it was busy with quite a few cars lined up and we knew we were at the right spot! The fact that it is connected to a home just gives it more charm and reassurance that you are about to have a homemade freshly made burger! 🥹 The only thing that was missing was fries.. side of fries would really complete the burger.. but still the burger is five stars and a must burger joint to throw in rotation! We sub the mayo for mustard and added jalapeños, chefs kiss!!! Cannot...

I know. I know. This place is a local legend. It’s like the meca of burgers in Rockwall. I know this. I feel like I’m supposed to give it 5 stars just knowing this, but...I can’t. For me, the burgers are too hit or miss. Sometimes they are so mouthwatering good, I’m like “okay, now I get it”. Other times they are just okay. My first experience was, unfortunately, the latter. But later experiences were much better. Then, every now and then, I get a meh experience. Because of this, I have to rate it down.

Also, my rating is purely on the burgers as that’s all they make! They sell chips and sodas, and that’s it.

Also, it’s cash or check only. No CCs. It’s a walk up window in an old house in old town Rockwall There are no other businesses on the street. So if you’ve never been, don’t try looking for anything but a house with a soda machine outside and cars parked on the side.

Tip: call ahead. They’re pretty popular and you never know what time they’ll close. Plus, if you walk up, you’ll probably have...
