Had an negative experience at this place, did not feel welcome, and wouldn’t recommend. There was one woman behind the counter filling orders for the 2 customers inside waiting for their food. I walked up to the counter to order, smiled (not that she could really tell through my mask), and said ā€œhello!ā€ - she didn’t look at or say a word to me. I stood there for about 15 minutes without being acknowledged. Once she had filled the other orders, without making eye contact with me, made a ā€œmove overā€ motion with her hand and said, ā€œher next,ā€ referring to a woman who came in after me, even she seemed confused by the interaction and why my order wasn’t being taken. I was wearing my mask (as always), was patient & respectful, so I still am unsure what I did to get that treatment from the worker. More people came in after me so I doubted that I’d ever get ā€˜selected’ to place my order. In the end, I felt unwelcome and uncomfortable and decided to leave after almost 30 minutes of waiting.

It’s your choice to operate the business however you want, but seems like bad practices to lose business and make an uncomfortable environment for your customers. There are plenty of other options in the area so I’d recommend avoiding this place if you’re looking for something to eat nearby. Just my experience with one person though and I can’t speak...

We were driving on the highway and spotted the kitchen and pulled over randomly to support... We walked in ready to hear " Wi nuh have it" and to receive the traditional screw face and hatitude known in Caribbean restaurants. But instead...it was Exceptional Service!!!! CJ gave warm and welcoming customer service. We ordered about 12 patties of all flavors...Here is an honest breakdown. First, The Crust- Crust was flakey on the outside but a bit rubbery on the inside. Not sure if it's their normal recipe or if it was just undercooked in that particular batch. I personally prefer a flakey crust throughout. Second - the content- the spinach patty was a perfect 10. You can tell they use fresh spinach and I liked the slightly spicey kick, not too much but just enough.. The vegetable patty was also a perfect 10. Fresh veges were used. The chicken and jerk chicken and beef were all good as well... Overall I will honestly say that this was an excellent experience. AND the outstanding customer service forms Cj made the Jamaican...

Ive been craving good jamaican food for a while now and it has been hars to find.. I Stopped in on the way home today to pick up lunch for my wife and I. Walked in and was greeted nicely and has the restaueant has a nice atmosphere. The service was amazing. I did not get the womans name but she was wonderful. Great personality and was warm and welcoming. Order the Ackie and salt fish, 2 orders of the jerk chicken, beef patties, and you can leave without some coco bread and cheese. Everything was outstanding. I havent had jamaican food like this since i was back in negril!! The Patty's are to die for, and the jerk chicken is fall of the bone tender, and their jerk sauce is phenomenal. The ackie and salt was Great. Fell in love with this dish back in jamaica and they pulled me right back their while I was eating it. Will be...

I randomly pulled off the highway to this Jamaican restaurant because they advertised. I’m not from the area and I walked in and I was first greeted with how clean the atmosphere seemed. I have a thing where I’ll go to the bathroom before I order because my assumption is if the bathroom is clean, then the food will be clean. Indeed the bathroom past my test so I went up and presented my order to the cashier. She was extremely inviting, even though I was asking a lot of questions. I love oxtail and jerked pork but it’s not all created equal. I don’t know the next time I’ll be back so I got both so I have some for tonight for dinner ā€œif it is goodā€. I stayed to eat some there and it did not disappoint. I would say this is a good rival for some of my favorite Jamaican foods! I will defiantly stop again as pass through the area…

Don't be deceived by the pictures. We had ordered take out. I ordered the large Jamaican wings dish. I was very disappointed when I received my order. They gave me only 4 chicken wingettes with rice and cabbage for $15.00. Rice was very bland and chicken was poorly seasoned. The restaurant also did not have another dish that we ordered. Pickup time was 6:46 and the restaurant called us at 6:42 to tell us they did not have the other dish we ordered. I have tasted many cuisines as I work in the Hartford and live in this area. This is the worst qualityJamaican food I have ever had and the poorest service. Will not be ordering from here again.
