Miranda's Sweet Addictions — Restaurant in Rocky Mount

They made my gender reveal cake which was good. However when I picked it up I noticed it said “Coming November 20. 2023” instead of “Coming November 2023.” They were able to fix it. I clearly stated & confirmed what I wanted on the cake when ordering it.

They made my baby shower cake & cupcakes this month. I was very specific with what I wanted just like last time. Telling them exactly what I wanted it to say, the theme, colors etc. She even wrote it all down as she did before. The cake was supposed to say “We can barely wait.” We also set a time for it to be picked up on the day of the baby shower. My dad arrived at the set time & still had to wait an hour for the cake. As my shower is almost done being set up I decide to go in & look to see how everything looks before guest start arriving. I look at the cake & realize it says “We can’t barely want.” I immediately call the bakery & explain it to them. They laughed & said “we (the employees) have dyslexia here.” If that is true why would you not make sure someone else is writing on the cakes or at least making sure they are correct? The phrase written did not even make sense. To laugh at your mistake to a customer that paid for something to be done a certain way is very unprofessional. I found no humor in that. You can also see that they went back and added the balloon strings that were not originally on the cake but were supposed to be. It seems like they were doing a rushed job. My dad had to take the cake all the way back to the bakery to be fixed. They did not apologize or offer any compensation for this inconvenience. My shower had already started once he was back...

My cupcake was yummy but I have a few recommendations: Turn on the lights so that it looks inviting. When I think of a cake/ sweet addictions shop, I think of a brightly lit place with lots of yummy options to choose from. After driving out of my way and missing my turn to get to the shop I saw online, I was very disappointed to find a dark place with a scarce amount of options to choose from. I sat in my car trying to figure out whether or not the open sign was supposed to be there or not because it looks like you are going out of business. Also, The door to the cupcakes was open and the guy who was helping me was wearing his mask down around his chin instead of his mouth and nose. I wanted to get more cupcakes for my family but only purchased the one. That cupcake by the way was delicious! Well worth the two dollar cost. I’m sure your cakes are...

My little girl's second birthday was coming up. We needed a cake. She loves Kirby from Nintendo. She also loves chocolate and wanted a Kirby cake. I live in Rocky Mount. I'm not a good baker in the slightest. We needed a professional.

I went to Miranda's. The staff was very friendly and professional. I only know about eating cake, not ordering it. They walked me through the process and gave me a reasonable estimate and had it ready exactly on time. The cake was delicious. My daughter was excited to see her cake. My family kept saying "Where did you get this? We have to go there from now on."

In addition to custom cakes, Miranda's has other baked goods including sales on cupcakes from time to time. They have ice cream, too.
