Cicis Pizza — Restaurant in Roeland Park

Still have (too small) clear plastic cups for water. The young gentleman taking orders, was very nice. ▪︎We had a really large group of family members that came to meet around 6pm on 1/7. ▪︎Meet a employee, with full beard & mustage working the budget, seemed nice. ▪︎As the evening went on restaurant because busier. We had most if the tables in the front section of the restaurant. Different family members ( wuth there family) came in. ▪︎Later a young taller African American young women (employee) was slamming plates down at the trash can by the front door. Which was very unprofessional behavior. ▪︎We were not disturbing other sections. We were having a nice time, enjoying food, child. Taking pictures. Then the same rude young lady, walked around, never smiled, even looked angry. We all have issues (it is called being a grown up). ▪︎I was truly upset, this employee, slapping plates down, just all round, disruptive. ▪︎Training in customer service was missed on this employee all round. Before leaving for the night, ▪︎ I stopped & told the young man running the cashier when you come in. I advised him, the employee making all the knows. Plus I walked around the buffet to see that man. ▪︎I first spoke too: & advised him of his employees actives. ▪︎Also this a request of a grieving widow, yo just have family members stop in for dinner if they could, because life is too short. ▪︎And then have to deal with this foolish, rude employee, just leaves a bad task in a person's mouth. I was at this Cici's today with my granddaughter and my great granddaughter (my granddaughter does not eat pizza my great granddaughter is in a wheelchair) We told the person on the register that the only ones eating would be my great granddaughter and myself. I am a senior so he told me my drink was included in the price of the meal. My granddaughter told the man she was going to fix her daughter's plate. I guess he thought she was going to try and eat without paying because he watched her with a a eagle eye. We proceeded to the line to get our meals and his back was to us when my granddaughter was trying to get his attention she called out to him several times and he did not respond, so other customers started calling him for her, when he finally turned around (he was on his phone). I noticed that he did not give me a cup for my soda, when I asked him to give me a cup he almost broke his neck to look at the table where I was sitting to see if he gave me a cup. He was eyeballing my granddaughter the whole time, she felt so uncomfortable she went outside, I told her not to go outside because she was not doing anything but helping her disabled child. I will never go to Cici's again in my life never have we ever been treated like thieves. Is it because we are Black? I will tell all my family and friends to go to Pizza Street instead of Cici's...

I DO NOT RECOMMEND. This was our first time at a CiCis Pizza and was very disappointed. On a Saturday, at dinner time, there was only 4 employees working. There was no one at the register to greet us when we walked in and waited to pay. I PAYED FOR 3 ADULTS AND 3 CHILDREN per the age requirements yet the cashier questioned the age of my children and I told him I added my 15 yr old as an adult as he could see and he apologized but I felt as if I was accused of lying. The dining area was dirty and every empty booth or table was filthy. Tables that looked like a seating option would become obsolete when I got closer as they where full of food or stained with soda. After walking around three times and becoming frustrated I saw a table cleaned it myself as they have cleaning supplies laying around. The trash area was full of food very unsanitary even when I was trying to clean a booth myself. The food was not readily available since they say it is a buffet style. The pizza was not horrible but not the best tasting as the toppings where very scarce and seemed like it was a cheese and marinara sauce pizza with topping that just happen to make it on. The salad bar toppings all look like they have been sitting in a fridge for days or have freezer burn. There was no ice for drinks either just as a cherry on top. I would...
