I cannot believe it. I just recently discovered this place and I literally wish that I had known about it sooner. I really regret not knowing about it sooner, because the food was absolutely delicious. They have a nice but not a wide selection on their menu. I wanted their signature burger, so I ordered their kimchi burger and got cheese fries for sides. There was a short wait because the food was made to order, and it was nice because the food was fresh and hot when it was finally served. I did not really expect that the burger would be that huge, so I was really happy. The burger was really delicious, even at first glance when it was served. I was kind of curious about their kimchi burger, which is the main reason why I ordered it, and I am glad I was curious because the kimchi burger tastes really good. The patty is well-seasoned, it is also juicy, and the veggies in it taste fresh, but what makes it stand out is definitely the caramelized kimchi and the kimchi mayo. That really gives a delicious flavor to the burger. The cheese fries were also good. The fries have a generous serving and the cheese tastes perfect. The service overall is great. The food was served quickly and the staff were really very nice and welcoming. As for the atmosphere and vibe, I can just simply say that it was fine because the restaurant is clean and spotless, it has a nice interior, and it just feels nice and comfortable inside. Highly recommended...
Read moreAfter having our hair done at Mario Tricoci, my daughter and I were looking for a place to eat on Sheridan Road. Decided to check out this place as we are both a fan of Korean food. Also my daughter recognized it as a place that had been featured on Diners, Drive ins and Dives, one of her favorite food shows.
There was outdoor seating, but it was too hot to do that. We were greeted by a sign that said "BYOB", so that was a win win for me.
Wasn't expecting burgers and egg rolls on the menu, but was pleasantly surprised. There are a variety of burgers with a Korean twist, but we go the regular burgers with a fried egg and fries. Burger was tasty but slippery...everything kept sliding out of the bun :-)
The eggs rolls were pretty good, although I would not called them Philly Cheese Steak Egg Rolls. There is cheese in them, but the Korean Beef they use overpowers it. That said, it is not a bad thing. I think the meat was bulkogi, which I love. Only bad thing about the egg rolls is that you are restricted to an order of two per person. I would have easily have bought a dozen of them to take home, You can only get the egg rolls on the weekend.
I got a bi bim bop to go with a fried egg and bulkogi....held up very well after reheating. There are other items on the menu we would like to explore, so most likely we will be hitting this spot again, but only on the weekends so we can get...
Read moreThis place has already been visited by Guy Fieri, so you don't need me to tell ya that their food is da bomb. I am going to tell you anyway. Their food is da bomb. Go and grab yourself a nice juicy bNg burger and a helping of Kimchi fries and you will thank me. The burger is stacked high with bacon, a thick patty and an egg on top. Soft and silky buns hold on the goodness in. The cold lettuce paired with the patty give you a sensation like no other. Then you move onto the Kimchi fries, and believe me when I tell you, you will never look at fries the same way again. A large bunch of fries is thrown into a bowl, a warm helping of cheese is washed over them like a nice tan. Then come the bacon bits, oh the bacon bits, but we are not done. Its the Kimchi, the Korean pickled cabbage that tastes about a million times better than it sounds. Allow these ingredients to sit for about a minute and dig in with a fork. Act like you are eating a salad. A salad of fries, cheese, bacon, cabbage, onion, sesame and love. Since love is what makes it...
