El Terco Leon — Restaurant in Rogers Park Township

If we could rate this ZERO Star’s , we would. We stood waiting there for our food and other people came in and ordered food after is & they got their food before us. While waiting, we seen dead bugs on the floor. The young lady at the cashier was informed and she did nothing. We were going to cancel our order but she informed us that they FINALLY started our food(after waiting 30 minutes!) We received our order ,2 burrito dinners and some chips and salsa after an additional 25 minutes!! Why so long?? Not sure because ,The rice was old and hard and the beans were so minimal, bland and disgusting. The chips were stale Greasy and burnt and the green salsa looked so disgusting. I would not recommend this spot to ANYONE!! We are just hoping we don’t get sick after taking the minimal bites of food that we took. Waste of time, waste of money. Do yourself a favor and find another spot that takes pride in their service...

Pretty disappointed. I walked in ordered 3 steak tacos to go. Once I paid I sat down in a chair and under 4 mins later I had my food in hand, felt little off on how quick it was. Well the steak tasted dry, little lack of flavor because it was not cooked to order. I know this cause it had to have been in boil kinda like how you go to Subway and everything is just in containers. I heard no grill noise or sizzling. It sucks cause everyone says the steak tacos are good. The sauces are decent. They are more on the pasty side, not really liquidy like most sauces.

I'll give them another Shot down the road. I'm happy I didn't eat there so they didn't see me...

The best tacos I've ever had in my life. Typical neighborhood taqueria: Two TVs playing Univision, tables have that feel that tables get in an enclosed grill joint; palpable but forgivable sheen of grease. And an abuela in back making everything from scratch, even homemade tortillas for a buck extra. BYOB and across the street from a 7-Eleven. And SO CHEAP I'm astonished at every check. Also did I mention the best tacos I've ever had in my life. On second thought you won't like it, don't go there. Don't ever go there. And tell your friends to stay away. I do NOT want my tiny neighborhood taqueria to go viral. Best tacos I've ever...
