Taquería El Charro I — Restaurant in Rogers Park Township

I have consistently ordered food from this place, both in person and through UberEats or GrubHub. I’ve never had much issues with quality or the food itself. However, tonight was very different and highly disappointing. Half my order was missing and after confirmation from the driver that he had not missed any of my food, I called the restaurant. Instead of apologizing for the inconvenience, the person on the phone not only blamed my driver, but also myself for using UberEats as the delivery service. I have literally spent over $100 at this establishment at least once every two weeks. This is the 2nd time having delivery from this place, first time had 3 different tacos (all bad, bland, terrible sides). The 2nd time I thought I would get something different so I got a chorizo burrito. If I don't have a heart attack from the amount of oil that that thing was drenched in, then Gordon Ramsey 10000% would. That Burrito was DRIPPIN in oil (and not the good kind). The paper that it was wrapped in was falling apart, had to rip it to get it out, everything inside was mush. I noticed on the reviews this place has so many positive comments and since I was driving next to it decided to stop by. To my surprise, the restaurant was PACKED, like every table was taken, and the line to order to go and pick up was also full which made me happy and also gave me a reason to continue staying. My mom order a steak gordita and I order the taco dinner. The waitress was super nice despite being alone and having to serve all the tables without help I was impressed by how polite and attentive she was.
