Schreiber Park — Attraction in Rogers Park Township

This park is so strange now. It has changed so much since I was a kid going there. They blocked off Scheiber Ave to expand the park which is useless at best since that is behind the fieldhouse. If you look at what it looked like in the 60's and what is there now you can see how much it has changed. From moving Ashland Ave and now moving Arthur Ave it looks like they spent money just...

The playground equipment has stuff for multi-age and there is a water sprayer which is always fun. A few things needed some TLC (i.e. lots of grass but didn't look particularly well mowed, the bottom of the wooden ladder has been torn out of the playground surface), but overall a decent play experience and, per usual, lots of fun Rogers...

Plenty of open space, a basketball court, and a soft rubber-like base beneath the playground. Not a fan of wood chips as they keep getting in the kids' shoes, so the last is a plus. There is also a small splash pad for a quick cool off during the warmer seasons. Slides, swings, monkey bars--has a little bit of everything for kids...
