Mountains Ice Cream — Restaurant in Rome

So let me start of by saying that the worker was friendly, the place was clean, prices were decent and the icecream was delicious!

I ordered a single scoop waffle cone and a milkshake. I was told when my milkshake was made that the lid didn't fit and is just sitting on the cup. The worker apologized and said they had ordered the wrong size, but were still trying to use the lids. My milkshake was topped with whipped cream and a cherry and within my 3 minute walk back to work, the cream was dripping in rivulets down my arm, and this is with 2 napkins wrapped around it for protection! I was so busy wiping off the cup drainage that my icecream then started leaking out holes in the waffle cone and down out the bottom of the cone.

So im just doing my best to keep the stuff off my clothes at this point (ps...it didn't work). I get to work, drop off the stupid cup to my coworker, and get to downing mine before it makes more of a mess, and the middle of my thin cone caves in and I have to hold it sideways just to keep the icecream from falling off! All of this happened within a block of my work! I wanted to love this place as hand scooped ice cream is where it's at, but at this point I have no intentions of...

We are new to Rome and have been so excited to take the kids to the 3 ice cream shops in town. Today, we chose Mountain Ice Cream. The man that was working was very rude to my husband. They were "out of waffle cones because it's Sunday". They were out of hot fudge. My husband decided to not get his ice cream after being told the second thing he wanted was out. The man charged an additional 15% over the listed price "for supply chain issues". The man escalated the situation and was quite rude. I'm not one to make a scene, but with other customers in the store kicked my family out and are refusing to serve us again. It was such a simple disappointment for my husband. The man said "it's just ice cream". But, it's a business. If you treat your customers so rudely, I give you two years until your business folds and dies. After all, it's just ice cream and there are two other ice cream shops on the same block. And we already know that Honeycream is divine. I absolutely LOVE Mountains Ice Cream!!🍦Since trying it for the very first time only three months ago, I've purchased entirely WAY too numerous an amount of their double-scoop varieties to count! Various flavors I've had are banana pudding, key lime, lemon cheesecake and blueberry cheesecake. Each is MOST scrumptious and my favorite is banana pudding! Having also had my fair share of their ALWAYS fresh, warm, hand-rolled-to-order, traditional vanilla waffle cones, I can certainly attest to their wonderfulness, as well! Lastly, on many occasions, I've had the pleasure having both their lemon and vanilla flavored cake pops. They too, are extremely mouth-watering!
