Off to a terrible start. The store promised the first 50 people in the door would receive a custom pack with our choice of Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, or Yu-Gi-Oh cards with the chance to win one of ten prizes. There was no update on their Facebook page the night before opening or the morning of the opening. I was the first person at the store at 7 am and a lot of other people lined up hours before the opening. Just a couple of hours before the opening, they came out and said the first 50 people would NOT get a custom pack, but that they would give us raffle tickets to claim one of the ten prizes. Afterward, there were only 8 prizes given out, not 10. One of the prizes they promised was a Final Fantasy MTG bundle, which coincidentally they forgot to include in the raffle.
They claimed they, "didn't have time to make the packs," when the opening was scheduled weeks in advance. Hours before the opening, they had a warhammer tournament in the store. Employees were easily participating in that BEFORE the store officially opened, but didn't have time to make the packs they promised everyone.
We lined up hours early and waited in the hot sun just to be fooled. There was no warning or mention that they were falling back on their promise and there was no accountability. I did win one of the prizes, but compared to everything that was promised, it was a huge disappointment.
First impressions are everything and this one was a huge let down. Please drive to Visions in Rockmart or one of the surrounding towns instead of giving your money to a company that lured its first customers out with false promises just so they could make extra money....
Read moreI went in to sell some Pokemon cards that I’ve had for a while, and to my disappointment, they were fake and that was already enough to bring me down but not only were they fake, the guy at the register was being extremely loud about them being fake as he checked them and that was the worst feeling I’ve felt in a while. It was unprofessional and un-called for. I was excited about my cards especially since I’ve held onto them for so long, but to be stabbed in the heart multiple times like that is not something I’d want anyone to else to ever experience. This store has lost a customer who was not only excited about the opening of it, but to be able to sell my cards and learn more about them and maybe even meet other collectors/players. After this experience, I may not ever collect again, afraid I’ll be embarrassed like this again. If it helps future people going, it was a guy with long blond hair, I didn’t catch his name but he seemed like an okay person overall but that situation was uncalled for and highly...
