Michael's Pizza Romeoville — Restaurant in Romeoville

Last time I order from here. When I first moved to Romeoville they were the best around never had a problem. Always cooked right and was never short on how much they put on pizza for ingredients. Never had a problem but now every time I order I have to send back the pizza. They over cook it. I get it black crust and cheese even black. Can't even eat the crust with out cutting my month or pain from how hard it is. Don't even order the pockets on slow days bc they also are burnt. To the point the ingredients inside even got burnt. Then they tell me next time tell them to cook it lightly. Sorry but last time i checked pizza was not to be black all around unless i ask for well done pizza. Then last time I ordered a pizza pocket I also got scrap metal in it. Almost chipped my tooth. I called and took the pizza back, showed them what i had to deal with and they just took the pizza back and told me they will talk to the manager about it. I called back many times playing phone tag. Still took them over a week to just refund me. That all they did was refund me. If I had let my kid eat it and they swallowed the metal pieces that were in the pizza don't know how I would of reacted. It was like pieces from a machine or something cooked into my pizza. I'll keep looking for a better pizza place to order from even if I only can pick...

We’ve been ordering from here regularly for many years and I said I have to leave a review especially after our last experience. I called to place a large order in advance, spoke to Mike himself and told him what I wanted to order, he asked me how many people we were trying to feed and when I told him he said that was way too much food and suggested the right amount, saving me money. THANK YOU. I thought that was very kind and honest. That’s not it, when I went to pick up my food the Grandkids were happy to see a giant blowup pumpkin I’m front of the restaurant so they had to take pictures with it. Nice touch. We went inside to get our food and Mike and his son offered us some sample pizza slices FOR FREE while they got our order together. The grandkids begged for cheesy breadsticks and juice boxes so we added those to the order too. All in all, we got a large order of pizza, pasta, bread, a salad, and chocolate cake. It was a one stop shop for our family. They even carried the order out to my car for me. I can’t recommend this place more. Great customer service from beginning to end, hot, fresh food, and I prefer to support a real family owned...

It's a pretty good pizza spot. I like that they have a very good variety of types of pizza. The unique flavors are very satisfying. Although, there are a few really good sure bets on the menu, there are a couple of misses. Taco Pizza is really tasty and is good when you want a bit of Mexican flare added on to your meal. Buffalo Chicken Pizza, tastes just as advertised like buffalo chicken with mozzarella on top. Firestarter is probably one of my favorites. It is a little spicy because of the jalapeno and you have the saltiness of the bacon combined with the sweetness of the barbecue sauce. It's probably their best pie. The Spinach Artichoke pizza is not one that I am a fan of, it is pretty dry and needs a bit more of the sauce. As far as wings go, their seemingly very fattening Parmesan Garlic are my favorite. I've only tried the spicy BBQ other than that and it just tastes like a spicy version of a bottled BBQ sauce. Seems very much like something you can easily make at home. It's a good place and I always get my pizzas...
