Louie's Tap House — Restaurant in Roscoe Township

Louie's Tap House is fantastic! I've was recently brought there by different people I know for two different business purposes within a week and I was highly impressed both times. The first time was a short meeting and a drink and some delicious nachos. They were loaded and amazing!!

I was impressed with the spaciousness and all of the things Louie's had to offer! Miniature Golf, game rooms and more... When I went back days later, I had the breakfast burger. Whenever I'm at a restaurant or bar that has a breakfast burger on the menu, that is what I get. I'm not exaggerating when I say that the breakfast burger at Louie’s is the best I've ever had! I couldn't finish it because it was huge but when I ate the leftovers later that night, it was still amazing!

The service was better than you get anywhere else these days and the owner stopped by both times I was there to make sure everything was good.

Since then, I've ordered wings, carryout and they were 2nd to none!

I can't think of a single thing that wasn't wonderful about Louie's. I live in Rockford but will be continuing to head north, out of the way to experience Louie's...

We (6 ppl) sat on the dinning room side, with the view of the kitchen. The cooks in the kitchen, look very dirty, cooking with no gloves and constantly touching their face and hair, while managing the food. One in particular, very long unkempt beard…. He was constantly caressing his beard!!!!! Nasty! Every time someone would go in and out of the kitchen, you could see how filthy everything was. Dirty rags and trash on the floor! It was quite obvious it’s an un -maintained kitchen! We were so turned off that we barely ate our food. It was too late to leave since we had ordered already ordered. Lastly, our server started out great, and then totally forgot us!!! We had to go pick up our own food (and silverware) because we could see our order sitting in the kitchen window. Another server would look at the food and realize it wasn’t her tables food and walked away. She could have told her co-worker “hey, your food is up”, rather than letting our food sit and get cold! Louie's Tap House was a pleasant surprise on a recent trip. We stumbled upon it while looking for a dog-friendly place, and it did not disappoint. The staff was incredibly welcoming to our four-legged friend, making it a perfect spot to relax after a long day. ​The food was a highlight of our visit, with a menu that had something for everyone. My friend has some serious allergies, and the kitchen staff was very accommodating and careful, which we really appreciated. ​The one downside was the volume of the live music on the patio. While we love the idea of live entertainment, the music was so loud we could barely hear our own conversation, let alone our server. It made ordering and getting service a bit of a challenge. ​Despite the noise, our overall experience was very positive.
