This is for the service. I saw the drive through backed up into the neighboring parking lot so I thought I would go inside as I was heading for Vancouver and wanted to get on the road. I ordered an Egg McMuffin meal. Took me less than one minute to order and pay. I got a red number tent with "1" on it. She said, "We'll bring it to you. I liked that as I had knee replacement surgery 9 weeks prior and that, along with my messed up back, etc. makes it painful to stand. I sat along the counter with stools so they could find me easily although the din of alarms, buzzers, beeping was horrible. I got on my phone to set my course and text my nephew with my ETA. I checked my email. I looked around and saw people with numbers "2", '3" "4" happily munching away on huge orders for a full table.
I went to the counter, in front of those people and standing in line to order. I explained my situation and restated "an EMc meal". I Iwas told the "eggs would be 3 minutes". I limped back to my stool as 3 minutes is about 2 1/2 minutes too long for my body. I got up again at about 5 min and went to the counter. The girl, different from the cashier, handed me a small bag. The cashier and I, in unison, said " it's a MEAL!". Off the girl goes to check on the hash browns. She came back and asked if I would like to substitute something as it would be 5 minutes for them to cook. I told her no. She turned and walked away. I said, "Can I have my McMuffin!?". She retrieved it from the back counter and handed it to me. No empty promises if bringing it to me. I waited 5 minutes, went to the counter and was handed another bag. Nothing else, no apology, nothing. BTW, I noticed several orders being delivered throughout the dining room while I waited. It took 16 minutes to get my sandwich another 6 for my hash browns.
I gave 2stars because the cashier made it a point to stop on her way back from making one of those deliveries to apologize for the confusion.
It's now 51 minutes later because I am writing this damn review.I have to hit...
Read moreI’m over it. I normally do my best to be patient. I know some people are rude to fast food workers and I really do try not to be that person. However, over the past 4 months or so, I have stopped in for various lunches, dinners, etc. at least 6 times. Each time, and I mean EVERY TIME, I was handed my drink and told to pull around and wait because my order of a QPC and fries, nothing special, was going to “be a few minutes” Today was no different, really, except I was in the drive through, sitting at the window for a solid 5 minutes watching 3 employees all standing there chatting it up before they told me to pull around and wait. At this point, I still wasn’t angry, but I did ask why this happens every time. There was nobody in the drive through when I pulled in, so what gives? I did get angry when the assistant manager asked what time of day I usually show up and I said mostly around this time, 6:30-7pm and his response was “well that’s the problem” and coped an attitude with me. Um, what? It’s my fault for showing up at your restaurant during a busy time? That’s all you’ve got? I might have accepted that, had the place been busy. “Drive through” is meant to be quick and convenient. Order the food. Pay at the window. Receive food. Drive away. I’m not interested in what the cause is or who is to blame. I’m only interested in getting my meal so I have time to taste it before returning to work. No worries now, though, I’m sure they have enough business that I...
Read morein Douglas County, all the McDonald's are owned by Gary Eads. Having started out with just one franchise, and the scope of around 30 years now has continue to grow and other cities over the last three decades. The facilities are generally in good shape this particular garden Valley is old and has not changed much in over 20 years. And it shows out of all of the big Donald's in the County, this one looks like it's not been updated in decades. Why it is clean, it is deathly not the flagship of the company. That may also be because the land they sit on is very small and was not built with the future in mind. The prices are extremely high compared to what you get. While McDonald's is one of the lower end price wise, the portions have shrunk to a third of what they were just 20 years ago. A big Mac is now about the size of wooded cheeseburger used to be. Probably most consumers have not noticed the changes that I have. There's a reason why McDonald's has managed to keep prices low because they shrink the amount of product you are getting. This particular McDonald's seems to be staffed by well mannered people, and over all the services. The prices did not justify going to fast food nowadays as they have continued to multiply in just a few years the amount it cost pick up...
