Normally I absolutely love this place. This last time we were in was probably the worst service and worst food I have ever had going out anywhere. Letâs start off by saying it took well over an hour for us to even see our food. There were guests who were seated after us who not only got their food before us but weâre done eating before we even saw our meals. Then when our meals finally did come my friend had ordered one meal to go and they put them all to go. Easy mistake for someone whoâs new. And honestly if the food was good I wouldâve looked past the long wait. But when we opened up our containers it was nothing but pure disappointment. My friend had ordered a wrap and they made it into a sandwich the fries were not very crispy. And my meal mustâve been the worst of them all I asked for light onions they loaded it with onions. My toast was completely burnt and my fries were limp and not edible. I had to completely take that meal off of our tab and I ended up sharing with my friend. At least her food was kind of good. To top it all off I feel like our bartender was very unprofessional. I handed her Keno while we waited for our long waited food And she did not even bring it back to me. she had said it by the register and continued to serve everybody else at the bar. I had to walk up there and ask about it and she laid the money right next to the register. I donât even know if that was the correct amount or anything because there was no receipt with it and another bartender had to ask her about it to make sure it was actually my money that she gave me. We definitely will not be back at least for a while that was just the most disappointing time and food I...

A full page of burger choices dominate the menu. Each comes with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle and homemade spread, served with choice of fries, onion rings or salad.
The Frog Burger is the main feature of this Roseburg institution. The burger comes with two beef patties, two slices of American cheese and two layers of bacon. Request an egg over easy to complete the Frog Burger experience (yolk running down patties). Mushrooms and jalapenos can be added as well but arenât necessary.
Some will say the Jersey Lillyâs best days were a couple decades ago but thatâs nostalgia talking. Taverns and bars are not as abundant today as they once were, giving way to micro brew pubs and casual dining chains serving $10 fruit cocktails with trademark names.
The Jersey Lilly has a pool room and lottery games and periodically features live music. However, the main draw is the atmosphere, the drinks and the burgers.
The tavern reminds me of a favorite movie, The Wild Bunch. At the filmâs end, it's the turn of the centuryâŠand things are changing. There are two guys still alive from the Wild Bunch â one of them is on a horse with a group of guys, and the other is sitting on the ground.
The guy on the horse says, "Do you want to come with us?" The guy on the ground is not sure, so the guy on the horse adds, "It ain't like it used to be, but it'll do."
The Jersey Lilly...
Read moreA friend and I stopped for lunch. We don't drink so this review will be limited to food service only.
The service was great, with the waiter being quick and attentive to special requests. A second server checked on us later also. I ordered a Ruben sandwich and soda with lemon. The drink was perfect and a refill was quick. The Ruben was tasty and had wonderful lean meat however it lacked two of the basics I consider for a genuine Ruben sandwich:. The sandwich lacked Thousand Island dressing and the sandwich was not grilled. Had it been, it might have stayed together better. As it was, it fell apart and I ate the pieces with my fingers. My friend had a simple hamburger which she enjoyed.
It is a dark place due to the dark wood furniture and paneling yet I could see well enough to know the cleaners do a good job. If you are sensitive to cold, bring a jacket or a sweater as the A/C is always cranked. I loved this, my friend clutched her sweater around her.
When we entered the music from the digital jukebox was loud rock and unpleasant fir a midday lunch. When it ended, I chose the mellowest tunes I could find, which was a challenge. And lastly, watch your step: the floor has some slopes which she be interesting for someone inebriated to navigate. Service 5. Food. 3...
