Fragrant Jerky — Restaurant in Rosemead

I like their friendly and approachable personnel, the quality of their products. I like their packaging. Good for gifts at Christmas and New Year. I recently placed an order with Fragrant Jerky to send to a relative in L.A. area. The package was lost (or stolen) en route to the destination. I later found out that the address was incomplete because I was given the wrong address. I called up Fragrant and Jeff answered the phone. I could tell they were real busy from the background noise and Jeff was catching his breath. I was amazed that he still answered the phone in spite of the hectic holiday orders. He also called me after work hours as a follow up. That's what I call PERSONAL TOUCH. How often you have a life personal answering the phone to talk to you? And how often you get personal assistance right away particularly during such busy holiday retails. I have no doubt that Fragrant Jerky will, if not already has, become very successful and keep growing if they maintain their personal touch. The story does not end there. Jeff replaced the order without charge and sent it out to my relative the next morning and they received it just in time for the holiday. I offered to buy for it because it was my fault to have given them an incomplete address causing the loss of the package, but Jeff would not charge it. They now make a regular customer of me. This is not my first purchase from them. I have bought from them six times in person and twice online. This is my second online purchase, but this time I never received their package. Not even the postman's vehicle showed up. I provided photos from our home camera, but they accused me of fraud and even insulted me. It's extremely absurd and ridiculous for me, I'm the buyer, they telling me to claim compensation from the post office,but they are the seller and the holder of the post office account. We brought two bags of Singapore jerky (they called in ROUGAN or BAK KWA in Singapore) back to LA over our Christmas trip to Singapore but one bag was confiscated by US custom agent at LAX but my husband’s bag was not discovered :) so we very much remember the taste... o so so good!!!. Fragrant Singapore Jerky in Rosemead tasted very authentic and much the same to the Singapore version… in fact my husband preferred the one we brought from Rosemead because of the meat texture and flavor of US pork meat.
