We parked between the restaurant and a nail salon, which was convenient, but the overwhelming smell from the salon hit us as soon as we sat down. It was so strong that I felt nauseous for the first 10 minutes until it dissipated enough to stop being overwhelming. I’m not sure if our booth location had anything to do with it, but it wasn’t a great start.
As soon as we sat down, the server immediately asked for our drink order, but I hadn’t even had a menu in front of me. My husband and I usually get cocktails, but we needed a minute to decide. Unfortunately, after asking for more time, we waited about 3 to 5 minutes, only to find out they don’t even have a cocktail menu—just a bit more then soda, wine, and beer. The wait was for nothing! Note to everyone: know what you’re gonna drink before you get to the restaurant!
My husband ordered a rib, but the photo on the menu was very misleading. The rib he received was the size of a seven-year-old’s thumb, and it cost $3 for that tiny piece.
As for the sushi, I ordered the Red Dragon Roll, but it had this awful sauce that tasted like a mix between Sriracha and ketchup. It completely turned me off, and I couldn’t eat anything else after that. The two other rolls I had before that were good enough, but the Red Dragon was a huge miss.
I came here based on a recommendation from one of my support staff, and while the place does offer great photo opportunities, I don’t see us coming back. Luckily, there are plenty of other sushi restaurants to try—just not as many in the...
Read moreWe seen the place just opened so me and the wife thought we would stop in because ramen is one of our favorite dishes. When you enter your greeted with a traditional Japanese restaurant greeting everyone in the back acknowledges you just a nice little touch if you ever been to Japan. The place is decorated nicely with traditional looking lanters hanging above with wood booth seating. We started our meal with an order of gyoza..now you can tell alot about a place on how well they do their appetizers and they didn't miss a beat the gyoza came out on a nice little platter and right away you notice the crispy skin the meaty inside complemented the outside and the dipping sauce was a cherry on top. I ordered the beef shoyu ramen with extra noodles the chicken broth was packed full of flavor and pairs perfectly with the sliced beef...my wife ordered the miso spicy miso ramen and she loved it as well she isn't a fan of overly spicy dishes and she said with the noodles you don't get overwhelmed by the spices now if you drink the broth alone that's a different story...and to top it off I went in wanting to order a basic soda but to my surprise they didn't carry any but our server offered an alternative it was a Japanese melon flavored soda and I'm glad she said because I love trying new things and it turned out to be one of my new favorite drinks..we definitely will be back and I think I might of found my new...
Read moreAbsolutely loved this restaurant - from the friendly staff, to the food, to the inside decor - everything was fabulous! We went for dinner on a Tuesday night - it wasn't overly busy. We ordered some appetizers - Gyoza, Chicken Karaage, and some french fries for our picky toddler. The food came out really fast, and was hot and fresh fresh fresh. The chicken was delicious! The gyoza were exactly as expected, flavorful, crispy on the outside. We then ordered some Robata - which we've never had before. We tried the eggplant - which comes with a really yummy sauce on it - just a little bit spicy - didn't think my husband would like it since he's not usually big on eggplant, but he ate every bite. We also got the bacon wrapped enoki - divine! The waitress did let me know to separate the enoki some and not eat the whole thing in one bite - which I appreciated. The bacon on it had a really beautiful crispy flavor that transferred to the enoki mushrooms. Delightful. Then we had some shitake mushrooms - I thought the sauce was too sweet personally, but the mushrooms were well cooked and delicious. We also tried the plain ribeye - which was scrumptious, and the pork belly - also good, but it was a little dry. For dessert we had the taiyaki - which it was my husband and kiddo's first time having - absolutely delicious - we demolished everything :) Will be a regular...
