They labeled our smoothies incorrectly & my daughter who has a severe peanut allergy had an anaphylactic emergency. The mgr Fena took responsibility for the mistake, the employee Jalyssa poured the wrong smoothie in the cups that were already labeled & did not double check. The owner Andy called us back immediately & seemed to care but said he’d remake our drinks & that it’s not the 1st time it’s happened to someone….terrifying to know this. This seems incredibly irresponsible & unsafe. We repeatedly tried to contact the restaurant since with no answer or response. We also submitted a complaint to their corporate (twice) & all of the info was given with the expectation of a return call or email to us but no response yet. Sadly it seems this location (Rosenberg), the owner & the company DO NOT care about their customers. We are so grateful our 24 yr old daughter is alive but for 20 mins on May 9, 2024 we did not know if she would be ok. We are traumatized & so hurt by their lack of care. An apology would have been all we expected then but now with an $7,500 hospital bill this feels extremely unfair due to it being their negligence!!! Read moreAwful experience. I stop by this cafe often since it’s near home but the young lady they’ve hired to work the drive-thru doesn’t know a thing about customer service. She completely messed up my order and didn’t submit it, once I pulled up to the window she didn’t repeat it and instead asked for the card to charge an amount which turns out was for someone else’s order. Rather than apologizing she charged me AGAIN for my original order, and had no idea how to refund the initial amount until a manager came to help her. She then gave me multiple receipts with no explanation and more importantly didn’t even try to offer an apology which is just decent courtesy for her mistake. Instead, she argued she didn’t do anything wrong, made a stink of a face and gave attitude and proceeded to close the window WITHOUT again giving me my original order until I had to ask for her manager. The manager then had no idea what I had ordered. What should have been a smooth quick 10min max experience turned into a 20+ minute long stressful transaction. Read moreFood: The smoothies are usually very good, but I’ve noticed that the evening staff puts more ice in the smoothies, maybe to stretch out the ingredients a bit? In any case it ruins the smoothie, absolutely not worth the price for a watered-down smoothie. I just avoid stopping here in the evenings, nevertheless it isn’t right.
Service: They are polite, never rude, but most of them seem to hate their job. Some are usually in better moods than others, but in general everyone seems unhappy and bored out of their skulls. I think this is the fault of management more than the employees … good management should take care of their employees and make them feel proud of what they do. May I boldly suggest offering the employees some space to work on schoolwork or pursue a hobby during dead hours?
