IHOP — Restaurant in Rosenberg

This was perhaps the worst experience we have had waiting for food. We visited on 12/26/2019. When we arrived, we waited exactly 90 minutes before we were finally served our food. When we got to the store we waited about 10 minutes before we were seated and then another 10 minutes before the waiter came over and actually took our orders. Had it not been for the manager, we would never have been served our coffee and tea which is a standard procedure once guest arrive. He apologize profusely and assured us that he was going to work to ensuring that our food is served. During this time, not once did the waiter come over to check to see if we were OK and offer us things in between while we were waiting. When the waiter finally came with our food, he did not apologize but served our food in a rather friendly manner and went on his merry way. I have been to several IHOPs and this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. At the end of our meals, we called the manager over and ask him to explain to us what happened. We noted to him that several guest had complained about a similar experience, some even walking out before they even got their meals. He explain to us the situation and assured us that he was working to rectify the problem as he had been transferred to the store approximately three months ago. Apart from being short staffed, he said there are definitely things that should not of happened and he was truly apologetic. We appreciated his honesty and the efforts that he made to compensate us for experience. While we were not looking for any compensation, we are certainly grateful for his efforts. I implore the regional managers to please visit that store and see for themselves how horrific with regard to waiting for your food. I guess I have to give them one star since there's nothing less for a review for this location. The service was horrible our waitress was the worst I've seen yet and the manager that was on duty didn't fall far behind her. We waited so long just to take our order then to sit there and see our food sitting under the warmer for 15 minutes before a manager pass by and we asked him can he please give us our food. Other customer complaint as well about the service. Our waitress finally decided to remember we were there and asked if anything else was needed and if everything was okay. We told her the service was horrible her answer to us was she is only one person. Maybe if she would have quit taking orders and get the food that sitting under the warmer and serve it people wouldn't have been complaining. A gentleman at another table told the waitress that he didn't even remember what he ordered when she asked him if his food was okay when she finally brought him his plate. This place was horrible and they can't blame it on the cooks because they had the whole line full of plates that falls on the manager and the waitress. You would have thought sitting there for as long as we did and getting our food semi warm only because of the heat lamps that they would have offered at least some kind of complementary but of course that was ignored as well but she was quick to bring us our ticket and take our card to pay. I sent a complaint to IHOP but they take two business days to respond. we spent about $40 for 3 people to eat food that was warm just because of that heat lamp & having a waitress that obviously doesn't know how to do her job. My Wife and I had heard the horror stories from this location but thought they were just exaggerated. Well we decided to go to IHop and try them for our selves we arrived at 8:40Pm Closing time is 10PM. We did notice we were the only ones there. We ordered our food all is well so far. My wife and Daughter shared Chicken and Waffles and I had a grand slam or something. My wife noticed hair in her food but just took that part out and continued eating. i start eating my eggs and noticed a hair as well. stopped and started going through my eggs and I find hair after hair, at least 4 in my eggs alone. i put that plate off to the side and go for my pancakes and tell the server I'm not going to eat that. the server was kind. Remember my daughter and my wife were sharing and we had extra plates brought to us. I moved my pancakes to a larger plate (So I don't get syrup run off from the small plate) . when I moved my pancakes I found more hair under my pancakes!!!! I had them take my meal off I only had a couple of bites before I was grossed out. We Walk out the door around 9:20PM after paying our tab. Just so much hair was found I believe it was intentional. When I was in my truck waiting for My wife and daughter to buckle up I noticed they locked the door behind us. I believe they wanted to go home early and they put hair in our food as pay payback. Will never go to this location again. Manager never even talked to us, we were the only table there more than an hour before they close.
