Trust me I seriously hate I have to give this review, but if my feedback will help others. I'll give my honest opinion. We just moved to this area and I was on Ave H running errands. When I saw the line at Captain D's. I didn't even know they had one in Houston let along Rosenberg. The line was super line, I thought maybe they have good fun just like the one from my hometown. We pulled into the drive-thru and the wait was over 30 minutes. We got our food and got home, and it was really good. We started to eat there often actually. The first couple of times, honestly I have no complaints about the food. However about 3 weeks ago. My husband went to eat there. He got home and the food was terrible. He said the fish wasn't cooked well and after eating it he felt really sick. I didn't think anything of it at the time. But then I went by after work last Monday 3/8/2021. The wait was long as usual. I got home and took one bite out of the fish and it wasn't cooked well at all. There was way to much grease on the fish and the chicken. Like they fried it to long. The sweet tea was sour. The only thing I could eat for real was the corn on the cob. About an hour later my stomach started hurting tremendously. I was in alot of pain. I went to lay down and dozed off. The pain woke me out of my sleep. I was also hot all over my body. Then I got a feeling like I needed to throw up. Which I did. All the corn I eat came right back up. Yep, I had food poisoning. You would think after throwing up I would have felt better. I didn't. I didn't sleep well at all on Monday night. Tuesday I stayed in bed also. My husband went to get me Pepto Bismol because that was the only thing to calm down my stomach. The food wasn't cooked well, like it was forced to get done. I really hate that because my husband and I both had grown fond of this place. Maybe they just had the wrong cook that night or something. But the fact that this happened on two different nights bothers me. I won't be back at all. People listen, if the first couple of bits don't seem right stop eating all together. Read moreThis location should close down. The service, food, and STAFF were all HORRIBLE! A heavy set Hispanic lady, with facial piercings took our order.... her customer service was fine. The receipt read "GS: Genera"-I don't know if that's a typo or her name. Another Hispanic girl (lightweight, little girl) was upfront maybe expediting the food-she was probably the rudest person I'd met in my LIFE! My husband asked for ketchup packets because the dispenser in the lobby was empty.... she handed him a handful, since fell on the floor he asked that she not give him the packets that fell on the floor, she got an attitude. The food took FOREVER to come out; the fish and hushpuppies were hot, but the fries were cold. I asked how long would it take to get hot fries, this rude lil girl did bring the fries back up here and I'll get you hot fries. I said just let me know when they're ready and I'll bring them up here, so that i can eat my fish and hushpuppies while they're still hot. She said you can bring it no. I asked if I could talk to her right quick, she said, "whassup?". I asked if there's an issue because she's been nasty since coming to the front she replied, "I don't have an attitude, you want a manager? ". When the manager came upfront she was in the back yelling and cursing saying that she doesn't have an attitude. I don't think he was the manager, but he was a kind guy and said he'd talk to her.
After reading some of the other comments, it doesn't seem like the feedback changes anything because some feedback is the same. That means nothing has changed!
The restroom was nasty, the staff was nasty, and the kitchen was probably nasty. Y'all don't have to worry about me returning. I'll go to another location, but will NOT...
Read moreI'm so pist off right now. I actually NEVER had a bad experience here before. My son ALWAYS orders the GRILLED WHITE FISH AND SHRIMP and lg. sweet tea. The young lady charged me $9. something. Ok I go to the window and pay. Then a young man came to give me a little blue bag... Um what is that ?? That is NOT my order... I said. I told him I ordered the grilled white fish and shrimp meal. But the young lady didnt ask me what sides I wanted... So she comes back to the window and asked WHAT DID I WANT ??? REALLY ???? So AGAIN... I repeated my order. She charged me another $6 something on top of what I paid. Not thinking I just paid her. So sitting with my son.. I'm thinking WAIT ... I ACTUALLY PAID $15 ALREADY... So I asked to speak to the manager. AGAIN.. I REPEATED MY ORDER. Finally THOUGHT WE WERE GOOD .... But Noooo.... I dropped my son off at his dads. And he sends me a picture of his meal. It had no fish !!!! OMG !!! I got so frustrated. I had to go all the way back. But he was so hungry that he had already started eating So I go back to Captain Ds. And asked for the manager AGAIN... 1st of all he came out with a attitude. I showed him the picture of the MEAL... He said THAT'S what I ordered. I said sir.. YOU REPEATED MY ORDER... My MEAL is NOT complete. I just want my white fish that I ordered. HE TOLD ME THEY DONT HAVE MEALS... WHAT ??!!! I ordered sides?? Isn't that a meal ??? I told him I actually got over charged. He said no.. I looked at the menu. The MEAL was $7 something!!! I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN... IF I WAS THAT MANAGER I WOULD HAVE REFUNDED THE WHOLE AMOUNTS. FROM BOTH TRANSACTIONS.
