Great Wall Chinese Cuisine — Restaurant in Rosenberg

This was my favorite place but I advise you to stop being disrespected and not go here!! The woman who answers the phone is very ignorant and unpleasant. Now I call Bao's.

The food and the food choices are great, but the woman who answers the phone and takes orders is awful!! You can barely understand what she says because her accent is so thick and then she speaks very flat, common, and rude!!

I called in on 3/13/20 at 10:15p to order food for my son and husband. She begins the conversation speaking rudely and nonchalantly. I tell her the order and she takes it after laughing and screaming in her native tongue to someone in the background.

After several minutes of enduring this loud exchange, I inform her that I am in the hospital and I am ordering food for my husband and son. Hoping she will somehow interrupt her conversation and complete my order, she pretends not to understand what I just said, she finally asks for my card number. I of course give her the number and she continues laughing and snorting screaming in her native language.

She finally tells me after this very time consuming and annoyingly rude exchange she while laughing says that they can't deliver because the delivery guys are gone..

She thought this was the funniest thing but I didn't find any humor in it. I requested to speak with someone else about a dozen times and she says I can't talk nobody else because there is only 2 people there. The cook and herself!!

Finally fed up from the disrespect, lack of empathy, and rudeness I just flat out say to her, every single time I call in to order food you are rude. I am trying to put money in your pocket. I'm in the hospital and I really don't have time for silliness.. Now if you couldn't deliver the food why couldn't you say that.. what did you need my card number for? She goes on about how they were there now they are not!! I couldn't even respond. I just hung up!!

I live 40 miles west, and this is pretty much the closest Chinese food for me.

I like Great Wall. You get to see the food being prepared right behind the counter (so you know it's freshly fried), and the ladies are always friendly.

I think the stand-out is the portion size for the price. It is generous (by today's standards). Many places have DEFINITELY reduced what they give you to pad the bottom line, but not so at Great Wall. $50 gets you a HEAVY bag of food.

And the food is good. I have never had any problems. Well, one thing I wish they would do is to dismantle the TRULY AWFUL relic of 2020 -- a tall plastic partition with a TINY access hole at the payment counter. It's both an eyesore, and makes the entire transaction unpleasant. Let's hope they get rid of it . . . SOON! In the meantime, just "walk around the side" and talk to the lady face-to-face so you can hear each other!

But that's my only gripe.

They are very good at getting orders correct, and the food is always hot and appetizing (well, not quite so hot after driving home 40 miles, but that is my own making of a problem) :-)

Today i order from this restaurant lady that wad there was rude has hell almost hung up on me when i was trying to place order on the phone and was in a hurry to hang up, the website said they deliver but is a lie so i had to pick it up,food is nasty i order to go when i got home the good is not what i expected, called in to file the complaint and take food back and get my refund,the lady who answer call said manager was not there but cook can help me i said i dont want my food remade i need a refund she said she will let the manager know i ask whats the managers name i asked her 3 times and she refuse to tell me and then hung up on me,i have the recorded called for my records she did t even care to ask for a call bk number food tasted like dead dog all i could taste was the skin of the chicken it was real bad to eat, rice had no flavor i will not recommend this place at all and its dirty,i wasted 19.00 dollars and i didnt get to eat.hopefully manager is professional and...
