My family and I just moved to Citrus Heights the end of January and we have been getting the hang of things... especially where the good foods are. We were born and raised in the bay area and love our breakfast bagels so when I found Manley's Donuts let me tell you I WAS SOOOO EXCITED!!
Let me first start by saying that the prices are amazing, so affordable, and makes sense as the owners are from the Bay Area themselves. Definitely felt a kindred spirit in Tom. The environment is so inviting, warm, and loving. Everything is made fresh in store with love and you can tell it from the get go.
We ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese croissant and bagel. These items are so big I knew we were going to be full and satisfied. As we waited for our food to be prepared, Tom and I talked about the Bay and life out in Sac. He gave us a little sample of their Matcha Tea and Ube donuts and even offered to bring our order to the car!! As the pandemic is still creeping around all of us, my mom and I truly deeply appreciated this offer. Tom also let us know if we really want something to be made &held for us or to order and pick up, to call and they are more than happy to help us out.
Thank you sooo much Tom and everyone at Manley's!!! You sure put a smile on our faces today and I personally appreciate you bringing a little bit of home (the bay) to us here in Sac. Stay safe and healthy till next time,...

Review based on food/taste: ⤵️
Arrived Sunday morning around 10:20AM and they were nearly sold out.
The kind owner shared it would be 10 min until fresh ones were made, if I wanted to wait.
I’m mentioning this interaction to make reference that I bought what could be considered, “left-over” donuts from the morning rush and they were—absolutely DELICIOUS!
When you come across a fluffy, semi-sweet, flavorful treat it makes a real impression.
Manley’s Donut’s dough itself (and arguably the most important part of the donut) is well-balanced, not too sweet, and has that rich color that any good rested dough brings.
Both raised and cake donuts were enjoyably airy and gave a nice chew (they didn’t just flatten when bitten or turn to paste in your mouth.)
After eating just one you feel happy and sated.
(You’re not looking to fill the emptiness that comes when eating other donuts.)
Best to grab a dozen, just in case—because you’ll be thinking about these tasty donuts again and again until you return back for more.
Will be back with excitement to try the variety of donuts they offer. Thank...
Read moreThis is my 56th donut stop across the country and this place landed a solid 5 star no problem.
It's a tiny, convenient donut place that tops the likes of Krispy Kreme and Dunkin with ease. Their donuts are so soft and melt-in-your-mouth light. I typically get a Maple bar or Maple donut and a standard cake donut at every place I stop and both of these were completely spot on.
Easily the best cake donut I have tried so far. The exterior is perfectly fried with just enough crispiness to make the donut enjoyable but not feel like it's just a solid piece of hard cake. The owner and his spouse are extremely friendly and their prices are unbeatable for what you're getting.
For reference I give out a 5 star if they meet the following criteria: flavor is solid (no powder sugar lingering taste), donut texture isn't run of the mill or just a basic cheap donut, and lastly, I actually want to go back for more...
