Read moreWe ordered catering from this restaurant for an event. We ordered appetizers and dinner. To sum up, we had a bad and deceitful experience from this restaurant and we would not recommend you order from them.
When the appetizers were done and dinner was served, they did not pack the leftover appetizers and give them to us. Instead, they took the appetizers back with them. At the end of the event when we asked for the appetizers, the owner’s husband said that there were no appetizers left even though 15 out of 90 people did not show up. So if what the owner’s husband said is true, then the restaurant did not properly plan for an event of that size.
The next day, we called the restaurant again and the owner answered, and she gave conflicting answers trying to justify the restaurant’s actions. She said that we had asked to unload the appetizers “too late” and we shouldn’t expect them to unload the food. So there was extra food after all? That means the husband lied to us. On top of that, she continuously yelled and interrupted us over the phone.
When you go to any other restaurant and order for 5 people, and only 3 show up, the restaurant doesn’t just take the extra food back, they let you pack it up and take it home. It looks like Mehfil doesn’t understand that our food is our food once we’ve...
Read moreMy person and I hadn't had Indian food in a while and the reviews for this place seemed good so we decided to try it. We went in to place a to go order and got two orders of chicken tikka masala (I like mine a bit milder than he does), an order of vegetable samosas, and the bread basket with garlic, paneer, and chicken naans. We started with the vegetable samosas which were really good so we expected everything else to be too. The garlic naan was pretty standard which I would say is good and the other two were okay but probably not something I would order again. We were both a little let down by the tikka because it basically just tasted like tomatoes and really wasn't very creamy at all. Mine was also just as spicy as my person's which was a huge let down since food that is too spicy really upsets my stomach, which it did. The reason for the one star review is because a few bites into my tikka, I found a hair in it. Now, I'm never happy to find hair in my food but I could excuse the extremely rare head hair because these things happen sometimes. Based on the way that it is however, I'm not at all convinced it was a head hair which would mean it was intentional. Definitely won't be going...
