At first we were greeted with a smile and seated quickly. The waitress was friendly, enjoyable and patient with us due to another one of our party members was arriving late. Once he arrived she took our order and brought us our drinks quickly. After she started bringing out our meals, a member of my party noticed that the waiter was starring at him rather hard. Then my guest said he thought that it was due to him wearing a blue line flag hat. We later found out that this worker was to be our next server. As sure as my party member states the he might be our next server is when our original server came and told us that she was leaving and that the new server would take care of us. That's when it all went down south. We couldn't get refills, we asked him then he tells us that he will get our server. Our waitress who we thought left returned to bring some of us refills. I later asked for a refill for myself. I waited 8 minutes with no one beinging me my refill. I then got up to refill my own glass we an going off duty employee who saw me heading to the soda machine stopped me. I told her what is was wanting then sat back down after she said she would have brought to me. Then our new waiter came and placed rather hard on the table then turned and walked away. We then decided it was enough, we collected our tickets and proceeded to leave. Now, I dont know if he was having a bad night with only him being the onlyserver but our experience being it our first time at an this IHOP sucked. I will be calling the store to make a complaint. This location today with the relieve waited sucked. After this experience, we might just stick with DENNY'S or McDonald's. At least they want to keep customers happy. Update We called corporate and we told our complaint. The district manager called and left a message for ua to call him back. When we did, he told us that he was driving and that he would call us back. Well that was 3 days ago and no call back. This is how they want to keep their customers happy. NOT A...
Read moreThe Wonka menu drew us in, but the experience was awful. We were seated and waited 15 minutes until i got up and asked for our waitress. Waited another 5 minutes and finally ordered. My daughter ordered the displayed pumpkin pancakes (the display is on all the tables). i ordered the Wonka chocolate tacos. The waitress came back and said they didn't have pumpkin pancakes anymore. My daughter ordered the classic Benedict. Waited another 15 minutes for only my daughter's Benedict to come out. A different waitress questioned the one plate, i told her we had other plates in our order. She went back to the kitchen and then told us they were just starting my chocolate tacos. My daughters eggs were hard boiled, not soft, and there was hardly any sauce. The table next to us who waited an ungodly amount of time for two small plates of pancakes found a hair in their "overcooked" pancakes and got up and left. By this time, i still haven't gotten my food, but my daughter is finished with hers. We get up to talk to the manager (who was very sweet and comped the bill) and pay for my daughter's plate. The manager tells us we can take the now ready food to go, and we did. When we got home and finally tried the chocolate tacos, they were horrible! The cream cheese filling was gritty and tasted off, and the chocolate pancakes were chewy and didn't taste at all like chocolate. If you're understaffed, then say so. They were seating tables like they were operating at full staff when they were obviously...
Read moreJared, you were awesome but the rest of the staff and service was horrible.
We arrived with a group of 10 to be shown two places that we could sit. The back room was full and quite noisy so we took a less populated row at the very front of the restaurant. The sun was in most people's eyes so much that they had to wear their sunglasses. The shades don't block the light. As we had no service, we were closing the shades ourselves.
We arrived at 8:00 a.m. At 8:20 we still had had no server come to our table so we flagged down someone to take our drink orders. No one knew whose station we were in but Jared stepped in stating he would take care of us (great job, Jared). Our coffee pots were still empty at 8:25. Jared took our drink and breakfast orders at 8:20.
At 9:00 we still had not received our food. When half the table needed to leave for other appointments, the manager Chrissy (who was not kind at all and infact seemed quite irritated with us) said your food is on it's way out. We had heard that 10 minutes before and were in full view of the kitchen - there was no food on the way out. Half our group left. The remaining ones stayed only because we were starving. The food was barely warm. I understand new restaurants have to work out the bugs but an unfriendly, unapologetic manager does not set a good example for their team. Maybe we will try it again in a few months but it hasn't started out on a good note. We will be back at Ginger's for our regular monthly...
