I've gotta admit, "World Traveler Coffee Roasters" has really made a name for themselves. Not just for the amazing Folsom location that I've been to on several occasions but this one (which is their first store that opened in 2019) in Roseville. Located directly on Sunrise Ave. and right next to busy Douglas Blvd. in a small strip mall, don't let the small exterior fool you because there's lots of big things going on inside.
Let's talk about this inside, shall we? Here you will find clean white walls with gold trim displaying the world (since they represent beans from many different countries) and amazing hanging lamps that present a glitzy modern look to this place. The white chairs and wooden tables combined with the wooden display shelf really flow well with every square inch. And finally the roasting area complete with whole espresso beans in the bags really bring out the aromatic scents from all directions.
Now onto their drinks.. They make a ton of specialty espresso beverages including the popular Rose Latte, Honey Lavender Latte, Brown Sugar Latte, and Strawberry Mocha. During my visit, which was Saturday 3/13/2021 at around 11:30am, I decided to go with their "Blueberry Vanilla Latte" for something a little out of the ordinary. I paired this up with a warm treat, their "Cinnamon Cream Cheese Muffin". Total price for everything was around $9 + tax.
This place does offer ample seating but it is relatively small and quite a bit smaller than their Folsom location. They do have limited outdoor seating but that can fill up rather quickly on the busier weekend mornings. The service I received here was top notch as the two young men acknowledged me in a very professional manner. They were quite busy with the influx of customers but not at all did they feel overwhelmed.
Overall, my blueberry vanilla latte was quite tasty and surprisingly delicious. It was not at all overbearingly sweet and had very subtle hints of blueberry in it. From my past experiences at both of their locations, the beans here are not as bitter as some of the other coffeeshops in town. My muffin was delicious and tasted even better heated up with that warm cream cheese oozing out from each and every bite. All in all, "World Traveler Coffee Roasters" is an excellent place to try delicious brewed coffee, top notch espresso drinks, and surprisingly good treats. My rating, a...
Read moreRather than wait in a depressing hospital lobby, I decided to enjoy coffee and a change of scenery at World Traveler Coffee nearby.
The space is small, with seating for 10 people inside, and a couple of bistro tables outside to enjoy.
I ordered the brown sugar cinnamon latte and the raspberry mousse.
The latte was delicious! Not too sweet and lots of cinnamon.
The raspberry mousse was a pleasant surprise. I had imagined it to be a sponge cake and fruit reduction type of pastry but it turns out it's a raspberry sorbet encased in whipped cream and a white chocolate shell. Honestly, I was tickled pink as it's a hot summer day in Roseville and a cold sorbet with fresh whipped cream was perfect. And I'm not a fan of white chocolate-but whatever their recipe is, it's really really good and I found myself wanting more.
I was sad to have to bust into it, as it's stunning to look at, but it was tasty and I enjoyed every bite.
The space is small, but the customer service is top notch, the coffee is delicious and I love that they roast their beans onsite.
I look forward to trying their...
Read moreGood coffee but bizarre experience there today. I walked in and they were helping a customer in front of me (it was just me and this other customer). It took a long time for whatever reason; the lady didn’t like her coffee or whatever. So I’m waiting right behind her, nobody acknowledges me even though the blonde girl cleaning out the pastry slots looks at me several times. The guy making the coffee is preoccupied with the lady in front of me but also does not acknowledge me. He finishes with the lady and continues to just do stuff at the counter while the girl also continues with whatever she is doing. So finally I’m like umm can I order something? The guy is surprised and tells me he thought I was waiting for someone. Who would I be waiting for?! There was nobody there. He then made my coffee and all was great but this could have been avoided I feel like. It made me feel pretty awkward. Tip for the blonde girl: greet people and smile. It would change the whole vibe. I am not writing the shop off by any means but I’ve never experienced that in a coffee shop and I go to a...
