PEET's COFFEE "unisex restrooms" or "unisex public toilets" DO NOT HAVE PAPER TOWEL DISPENSERS.
DISCUSSION: Both restrooms have "Dyson Air Blade," electric, hand driers, that in my personal opinion, in my non-medical opinion, and in my non-healthcare opinion are dysfunctional. The electric dryers operate for much, much less than 20 seconds continuously. Personally, I have never been able to properly dry my hands.
QUESTIONS: Q1 ¿¿ How do customers (and employees (baristas)) exit noted restrooms or toilets WITHOUT CONTACTING a CONTAMINATED SURFACE ( that is, the door handle) ?? Q2 ¿¿ Do baristas and other Peet employees have access to an employee's only sink for hand washing ?? Q3 ¿¿ How long does it take for hands to air dry according to established guidelines??
ANSWERS: A1: I DON'T KNOW. A2: I DON'T KNOW. A3: "They found that using a drying time of 5 seconds with cloth towels would achieve 85% dryness of the hands, but using 20 seconds of drying time under hot air dryers would achieve less than 70% dryness."†

CONCLUSIONS FROM ARTICLE: ONE. "From a hygiene viewpoint, PAPER TOWELS ARE SUPERIOR to electric air dryers." TWO. "Drying hands thoroughly with single-use, disposable paper towels is the preferred method of hand drying in health care."

ECONOMIC DISCUSSION:††
The Air Blade hand dryer saves up to 98% in paper towel costs while saving energy and the environment. For example, at 400 uses per day, the Dyson Airblade would cost about $67 per year to operate. Paper Towel usage would cost around $2,920 for the year.

Read moreThe reason why I switched to Pete's from Starbucks is because SB made me wait 15mins to fulfill mobile orders ahead of customers in the store. Pete's was wonderful, great service and I explain why I left Starbucks.
When Pete's began mobile order services a couple of years later, I explained my concern to the ladies and was told, "we would never do that".
The reason why I left Pete's and moved to Dutch Bros on Sunrise. With 1 other in the store and after waiting 8mins (so the barista told me), I asked how's it coming with my order? I was told there are 4 orders ahead of yours. I looked at the other lady in the store, she seem just as frustrated as I was. About 5 mins later, I received my drink. I saw the person me and my husband know, took her aside and explained my concern. I was told with absolutely no compassion "this is how it is now". I responded with smile in my eyes, "well then, you know me and my husband spend a lot of money with this Pete's location right?" She agreed. I said "you will miss that money until the customer service with people in the store improve" Bye bye Pete's....Hello Dutch Bros!!! My DB coffee this morning...

They have four variations of their cold brew on nitro here and have around 30 different whole bean options. They have a delivery of freshly roasted beans (within the last 2-4 days) a couple times a week. So, whether you are ordering coffee or buying whole bean coffee you can have confidence it will be fresh.
The location is conveniently located on Sunrise less than a mile from the Douglas I-80 on ramp. While it might be tempting to hop in the drive through at Starbucks or Dutch Bros they often have long lines.
You can decide for yourself who has the best coffee but for me it's Peet's Coffee hands down.
I've been buying coffee and beans here since the day this location opened a few years ago. The staff here is very friendly and they are very knowledgeable about all the coffee beans and...
