Potato Corner — Restaurant in Roseville

I was here on the 25th of September and order the large Taters. I stood by and waited for my order. I saw other people get their order who came after me. All this time I'm watching the two kids who were working eat while making everyone's food. They were eating French fries. Finally I asked about my food. This was after about 15 minutes of waiting. They were not that busy that day. Normally they are really busy so I am used to waiting for my food here. I've been here many times. As I asked for my food they said here it is. It was under the glass. They said they had called my name but they had not. I asked why they didn't call me again. They said they do after 10 minutes. They claimed it had not been 10 minutes yet. While I was talking to the lady who was helping me, she walked away. I asked her if I could speak to the manager and she said that she was the manager. I asked for the corporate office number. She said it was a franchise. So I asked her for the owners name. The whole time the kids that were working there were giving me dirty looks and laughing and still eating. The manager said she can't give me the owners number but I could leave my number and the owner will call me back if they think it is necessary. The manager said that the owner was in the hospital having surgery and she would review the recording from the camera. Needless to say I never heard back from anyone. I gave this place 2 stars because the food and portions were really good. The customer service is not so good. I'm not saying don't go here to eat, but just beware of what you might have...

I just wanted to leave a review to advise others that even though Google says this is “Potato Corner”, it no longer is. It is now operating under the name of “Undercover Fries” as they have ceased their collaboration with their vendor and previous owners in the Philippines. They have changed the seasonings and the sizing of their fry servings, and their prices have increased. They also no longer have the fixings for chili cheese fries. In addition to that, they no longer serve any side condiments except for ketchup (no ranch for chicken or tater tots) and they will charge you a whopping $1 if you would like your order in a covered to-go box, even after you’ve already paid $9 for a serving of fries! I love Potato corner. My daughter is obsessed and we would go every Sunday (it’s her treat) I would say it’s been a month that we would go on a Friday or Saturday early as soon as the mall opens and they won’t be open at all, or Atleast till we leave the mall around 1130. Not sure if they open maybe later on weekends, but like the comment before me, I just want to help others who have to drive far and be disappointed if they’re closed.
