If you haven't truly immersed yourself in the culinary heartbeat of Spain, you simply haven't lived. Tapas, Paella, Sangria, Sherry. What's there not to love? The new Teleferic Barcelona at the Fountains delivers on all of the aforementioned, and then some. It’s both a long overdue and very necessary cultural addition that further elevates our local palate.
The restaurant boasts a truly fantastic wine and sherry selection, offering a profound journey through Spain's diverse viticulture. This is perfectly complemented by an excellent assortment of hot and cold tapas, designed for sharing and savoring. The trio of highlights from our table—the savory King Crab Croquetas, the perfectly textured, velvety Tortilla Española, and the sublime Paella Mixta—was, quite frankly, to die for.
It must be noted that though the restaurant is in its early weeks of opening, the staff is already locked onto the singular goal of genuine hospitality. The service is warm, attentive, and fully invested in making you feel welcomed. Should you pardon a small, early operational hiccup, their dedication ensures they will make it up to you in one way or another.

Read moreCATALAN APPROVED! I am born and raised in Catalunya, but living in Sacramento. I’ve been to a lot of spanish restaurants all over California….and this one is definitely the best. As soon as we walked in, we felt welcomed; I was so happy to find some catalan folks working there! That was a great sign! The service was quick and friendly. Our waiter, Brenan (hope we spelled it right!) did a great job checking on us and he was able to help us with a special request we had.
The food: I am really particular when it comes to Spanish/ Catalan food.
-We started with some pa amb tomata and Jamon. Very very yummy, good way to make pa amb tomata and the jamon was mouthwatering. -Then we had braves and croquetes. Great texture and flavor. Presentation was excellent. -We ended the meal with puplo and gambas. Pulpo is really hard to make.. but it was so good! Later, i found out the octopus is imported from Galicia. Totally worth it! -And we want to thank the staff for going above and beyond so we could have one of my favorite dishes!
the desserts looked good, but we ate a good amount of tapes! Would love to see crema catalana added to the dessert list!
We had a fantastic time....
Read moreWe have been anxiously awaiting the opening for several months and were excited to have the opportunity to be part of the soft opening. We have spent many months in Barcelona over the past few years and were hoping for a true Catalan experience - we were not disappointed! Our biggest disappointment was the limit set by the size of our stomachs, as our party of four was unable to try everything in the menu in one visit. 😂 We had cocktails, several tapas and dessert. We loved everything, but the croquettes (both the ham and crab), patatas bravas and crispy brussel sprouts were favorites. The sangria flight was a great way to taste each signature sangria to select a favorite for a future visit. Same is true for the dessert combination - 😋. The churros turned out to be the table favorite. The ambiance was great and the staff was friendly and highly attentive. They hit everything out of the park for the soft launch. Hard to imagine things could get even better, but we will enjoy returning several times to...
