We set a reservation at 6:30 p.m. to be there by 7:30 p.m.. When we showed up they told us that our reservation was canceled since we weren't there by the 30-minute mark after we called at 6:30. Who the hell wants to show up 30 minutes before their reservation? After they got us sorted out we ended up being second in line to get a table. We were served by a waiter named Neil, very very attentive, throughout our dinner he came to our table 11 times. Other restaurants maybe two or three or less.
We had the bacon cheeseburger and truffle fries. We asked for well done cooking and it was well done as we asked for. Not the type of burger that is falling apart in your hands. Would recommend. We also ordered the House cheesesteak sandwich. Although it was good it said in the menu description it would be lathered in barbecue sauce and cheese, The sandwich was lacking both of those qualities. Receiving a side of BBQ sauce the sandwich was 10 times better. Paired with my sandwich I ordered the sweet potato fries those were delicious, perfectly cooked, perfectly warm, perfectly crunchy, and satisfactory. We also ordered the midnight sangria, very delicious. As a dessert we ordered the bread pudding. For $10 and some change we feel we could have spent our money in our gas tank other than purchasing this. The ice cream was okay The bread pudding was, why bother. The caramel drizzle sauce that was on top didn't even taste like caramel. If you come here for good service you will find it If you come here for good food you'll find it If you come here for a good bread pudding walk away. If you come here for cheese on your cheesesteak sandwich don't bother, If you're looking for alcohol this is a place to come. In the outdoor seating arrangement area there were four TVs playing various sports events. It's a nice distraction and...
Read moreIt was Thursday night and a little crowded, I was asked if I wanted to eat inside or outside dining. I said a table in or out would be fine. I was then told it would be 30 to 35 minutes. I gave the hostess my name and number, she said that I would receive a text. After 35 minutes of waiting I was texted to come to the hostess stand. One of the hosts a gentleman said are you okay with dining at the bar? I said no I prefer a table, he then said that you will have to wait for a table. There were several tables and booths available inside and out. I told him never mind I have wasted enough time here and will choose another place to dine. My Friend talked to the host and called me to come back inside, they happened to find an empty table. We ordered 2 drinks a Crown Apple Ginger Beer and an Irish Car bomb, with a glass of water and a glass of ice tea. The Crown Apple drink had something dark floating in it after one sip and they promptly got a new drink for me. The Irish Car Bomb was a shot drink with probably a half of a beer with the shot. I ordered Crab cake sandwich with fries, my friend ordered Steak rare, with asparagus with mashed potatoes. My Crab Cake sandwich was great and the fries seemed to be bits and pieces, without any flavor. My Friend steak was actually cooked rare and his vegetables were cooked nicely. Overall the dining experience was alright not extravagant. The Customers waiting outside could have been more respectful or controlled. They hovered around the front door making it awkward to enter after we were texted to come inside. The question is? Would I eat there again, possibly although I recommend calling ahead and being placed on the list to...
Read moreThe food and experience were wonderful. They have heaters outside, so when it's cold, it's not bad to be out on the patio while you're eating, and there are tvs out there to watch the games if you like sports. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming. Very classy. It's a little pricey but worth it for the experience. I always order hot water, and they gave me a tea pot instead of just a cup of hot water ( I love this) service was good, not as attentive as I like, but overall the food was good and the atmosphere was great. The appetizer was the only thing I wouldn't order again just because they were so plain. We ordered the mini sliders. They meat, however, was very flavorful, but they only have cheese on them and very little sauce... no letuce, onion, tomatoes, like I've had at other places. If you like plain sliders, this is great for you, also they give you 4 of them, which was nice for sharing. The fries were in a small metal basket. I love this, so they stay warm while you're eating them. We ordered the all meat pizza (for some reason, they have no pizza with veggies) they let us add some on, though, which was nice. We also ordered the fish tocos. The fact that it is fried I was nervous because you never know with restaurants oil how clean it really is, but there's was good and it didn't hurt my stomachache later. I ordered a house margarita and it wasn't bad either. I hope this helps you enjoy a nice dining experience at the Yard House. I would 100% recommend this for someone who likes to drink craft beer and what they have on their menu. They have PAGES of beer to choose from and good food to...
