The food is always good here but I’ve had several issues with service and last night made me have to write a review. They always tell you you’ll have a 20-25 min wait so I call in. Cool. When you arrive your order usually isn’t ready but okay, the food is good I can get past that. On one occasion, the phone was busy for 20 mins. I walked in and told them and they looked at the phone and said oh... I didn’t realize...then hung up the phone. How many orders did they possibly miss out on? Well according to their website and the sign on their door...they close at 11 on Saturdays. I start calling at 8:53 pm and the phone just rings and rings until there’s a beep to leave a message. I call several times, about 10 at least...for the next 15 mins. No answer. We decide to just drive there, arrive around 9:10-9:15 and they are closed. One worker looks out the window at us as she mops or sweeps and laughs speaking to another worker. We pull up close to the door just to clarify the close time and it says 11 on the door. The worker then keeps her head down as to not addrsss us. How hard would it be to say we’re closing early tonight because whatever reason or even just gesture to us that you’re closed? Not ignore us...I’m not sure if they have the same owners but the last time I was in there a couple of weeks ago, myself and another customer questioned this due to the service, the wait time after calling in way ahead of time and the lack of order...yes the food is good but when it’s continuously an inconvenience it’s not worth it. Read moreBoy how I wish I kept going and got something else. I am from out of town and visited Harold's as I remembered them being pretty good. Well things must have changed. I won't go over all the details because who wants to read an essay so I'll keep it short.
I didn't call about this issue because I didn't feel like arguing or someone telling me they remake it. I would like a refund however because as stated I do not live here. I ordered liver and it was beyond salty. I could not eat it and it made my pressure go up and caused me to itch just from a few bites. The liver itself taste like Vienna sausage. It was tasteless just a bunch of salt and it was burnt.
As far as my chicken goes I did ask for salt and pepper to be on it but not the liver so they must have got things mixed up and not been listening. The chicken taste old and had no crunch. I went around the corner and ate at a family member house 5 minutes away from the location so please tell me how my chicken was soggy,stale and cold. I am so disappointed as I almost spent 30 dollars on food that I couldn't enjoy nor eat. I had to throw it out and won't return. Please do not waste my time if you do reply asking if I would like it remade because I can not get to it instead please make matters right because you know and I know that this was not right and you know if you are not selling fresh foods. I had to go elsewhere and get me something while in town because I was left hungry and disappointed .
P.S. the third pic added was after I attempted to put it in the air fryer because it was so soft and still it was bad and the fries were old cold and lumpy. The pics actually make it look better and...
Read moreThis is my fourth and last time ordering from this place. There are 3Sharks Chicken Places closer. I wanted to see how they were. This last order I ordered 50 wings. 15 min before pickup at 6:15 the Mgr calls to say he only has 34. He offered to substitute the rest of the order, but I wasn't sure if it equal the amount I had ALREADY paid online, AND he didn't give me any $ amounts. I couldn't cancel the order, them money was already paid AND they were closing 2hours before their posted closing. So I couldn't get there to pick up my order and had to make new , frustrating plans for dinner. Went to pick up my food or money the next day. No problem. However, I was not given anything to compensate me for the frustration and trouble of the night before. I spent over $100 on this order. This the last they will see of me. Apparently my business doesn't count. A gesture of a free drink or dessert would have signal to me that my business was appreciated. I was very angry that I had to make other plans, couldn't get my money back. So I've learned. I don't support Black Owned business anymore and I don't pay in advance for my food. The owner is a nice guy, and I guess he doesn't care enough to make it right. I'm still very agitated about this. If you choose to go here know that they've raised their prices and the quality and size of the food has degraded. Don't pay in advance. There's other places that are cheaper and don't have the...
