The restaurant was over packed which I thought was a good sign of good food good service I was wrong. Me and my girl were offered a table early it was just us two, after seating we relized it was very uncomfortable, we politely asked two staff members if we culd be moved to a open booth. They gladly accepted our request, we ordered food now when the owner relized we moved she blatently addressed her concerns in front of the whole store instead of politely addressing it to us with some discretion and began yelling at my date (the booth was small anyway). She gave several rude stares and was incredibly unprofessional and made taunts at not serving us. I even attempted to ever so politely explain what happened and owner did not once show any professionalism and continued to argue with my date. When we left it was followed by an applause and nevermind the fact we were the only African American patrons so thank you Kelly-O for that bit of 1950 segregation treatment. Uncalled for; but on the other hand we did enjoy a FANTASTIC experience at Pamelas restaurant in Oakland soon after...
Read moreVisited today 2-13-25 at 12;30. Walked in and maybe 3 booths and tables were occupied.....this should have been my first clue. We have eaten here for at least the last decade or more, but, haven't been there since the summer, however, the difference between experience then and today were startling and not in a good way.....service absolutely was horrendous, my food - western omelet with fried potatoes- was tasteless, not well prepared and something my14 year old Grandson could have prepared much better for much less. Needed to grab employees as they walked by to get coffee refilled as all we saw were the backs of servers behind the counter chatting away.....this with an overwhelming crowd of maybe 5 other patrons besides my wife and I. It's a shame since we live less than a mile from the place and for years it was our go to place to eat and bring friends and out-of-town family....sadly that ended today. Kelly you really need to correct this since talking to friends , we are not the only ones...
Read moreIt was alright, it was still pricey ($40 for 2 people) for them claiming they charge for a credit card to be competitive. We usually go to valiants and get more food and its still cheaper and they take credit cards. Our waitress came back maybe twice, I ended up spilling syrup and had to sit with it next to me and on my hands and phone until my fiance finished eating because she didn't come back for me to ask for napkins. Food was alright I left still hungry i got seanas favorite with 2 filled pancakes they were probably 5 inches in diameter and u only got 2 with 2 pieces of bacon and 2 turkey sausage it came with eggs too but i dont like eggs and they do no substitutions I would've paid an upcharge to get something else, my fiance said his food was good I ended up giving him my eggs and he left full. So it was good for him not so much for me. This place was always so hyped up I personally was...
