Look, you know it and the owners know it. You just got out of church, you just finished packing a bowl, and now you're proper starving and looking for a place to spend that crisp $20 bill your Granny gave you. Communion was just a tease, but now you're finally set free and ready to put your tithe money to good use and, by God, you're going to get your money's worth.
Look no further than this here China King Super Buffet (Super!) You could come in having just ripped a bong for Christ and reeking of a sweet Blue Dream, and they'll welcome you like the Prodigal Son.
On first arrival, your bloodshot eyes'll widen to a Chinese-American heaven; an answered prayer of buffet tables next to buffet tables. They've got nothing short from everything you'd expect, each dish coated in sauces I can't pronounce. They've got unending fried rice properly fried with scrambled egg, entrees and filets galore, and banana pudding done right-- the works. They even have pizza for you uncultured swine!
It's the perfect place to go to if you're wanting to impress your friends. Or, you can even go alone like I did so you can side-eye the out-of-towners and subtley assert your local dominance by out-eating them 2:1, like I did. You'll end up leaving feeling like an American hero, and the lady at the front desk WILL expect your return.
So, give thanks to your God, toke one up, loosen your belt, and come on down to the China King Super (Super!) Buffet. Make your...
Read moreDecent buffet with a good selection of items. A few of the items were prepared well, others a bit bland. But I left full for the next stretch of my road trip.
Food was brought out regularly, Mongolian beef was good, onions were not overcooked and soggy like most places. They still tasted like onion and were a little crunchy. Garlic green beans were good, Chinese doughnuts were fresh. Sushi selection was very lacking with only 3 kinds to choose from, all being vegetable and cream cheese type rolls. Wait service was good, my waitress came around frequently and kept my drink refilled.
The only problem encountered was during payment before my meal. The cashier rang up my total, but then punched it into the credit card terminal wrong. I was charged almost double. She then reversed the entire transaction and charged me again for the correct amount. My debit card showed about $38 for 1 buffet until 3 days later when the first transaction was put back into my bank account.
She could have either refunded the difference she overcharged back to my card or given me the difference in cash at the register.
I would probably return here if passing thru or staying in Roswell, not the most amazing food, but decent enough for the price. Its quick, not overly expensive and right on the main...

The lady asked about beverages of choice. And I guess she felt the need to strongly identify that if one person did not want to buy a drink...the person who a actually bought a drink... can not share it with others (for example-cant share with someone who ordered water).
The ambience inside was dull and a little dark. Fair enough food options but not a plethora. Appearance of the food looked good. But did not like the taste. Everything had an off taste that didn't feel fresh and appealing. The best tasting thing that felt guaranteed fresh was the white rice. Watermelon was awesome and sweet. Cookies were hard. Spring/egg roll too stale and hard to bite into.
It probably would not be on my top places to revisit for Chinese food. But Inspite of all that, I was not sick after eating there and that's a big plus! So I...
