Main Place — Local services in Roswell

Goodwill used to be a bargain place. They price gouge the heck out of everything. This is a thrift store and they act like everything is brand new. A "no name" sleeveless workout top $8.99 because it still has the manufacturer tags on it. Total rip off. I thought their mission was to sell affordable things to families in need such as myself. Assistance League Thrift Store blows this place out of the water. Goodwill corp, pull your head outta the dark hole! Also, thought I'd mention... I have two infant children (now 2 and 1...at the time of the instance they were 18 months and 6 months... regardless). I ASKED Big Lots next door if I could borrow their cart inside Goodwill because the carts they provide do not have a spot for my oldest to sit (my youngest can't walk so I keep her in the car seat). The Goodwill employee came at me very gruff as soon as we entered, barely in the door way, and said I couldn't use the cart in their store because it wasn't theirs. So what? I had permission from the store that it belonged to! It was so odd and rude. They need better carts then for people with children unless they want the kids running around BEING KIDS and accident prone to break things. I left and...

I enjoy Mt thrift shops, but they have become overpriced for a thrift store, especially since the scene becoming non-profit. I looked at a rug, and it was priced 125.00. Get out with that.Big lots is right next door, and I can get the same quality and size rug for less. That is a problem. Also don't forget to bring your own bag as they will not supply that either. The mall in Roswell has maybe two to three good stores. The food is barely hanging on except the one resturaunt. Burkes is great and the larger retail stores. Mostly it feels like a huge building with enough stores for a small shopping plaza, not a mall. Because of management pricing is hard to cover with little to know flow of regular customers.
