Long John Silver's — Restaurant in Roswell

My hubby loves a good chicken plank, so having been evacuated from our home in Ruidoso, we went into this location. Tried to order cheese bites, but nope! they were out & we told her there was a small yard sign outside, but she never made an effort to pull it. The menu board said additional ala carte chicken planks were .79 each, so hubby asks about them, nope! $2.79 each someone removed the 2! We asked if there were any discounts for Ruidoso evacuees as other restaurants were doing that; nope! No friendliness here! Food came out fairly fast & it was hot & fresh. Stawberry lemonade was gross. We were the only guests there for a while, but several tables were dirty. The interior was dirty & in need of deep cleaning & paint. The exterior was in need of paint & new siding. Pictures outside were flaked off & faded beyond recognition. We find this sad, but corporate needs to put this location out...

Food still pretty good but boy that's not the LJS I remember from lunch when I went to RHS back in the mid 80s. Wish they had a drive thru so I didn't have to see the inside or that total nightmare of a restroom. I guess some things are better left as good memories. Employees were nice and professional so they did have that but I think it's time LJS does a make over. At least a small one. They still get a lot of customers so I'm sure they can find a way and reward the diehard customers that want good fast seafood. I want to come back. Its up to you...

The food is amazing. The green beans genuinely make me feel better. The staff are nice and they take good care of the customers. The problem is that no one wants to watch food being prepared in a nasty, run down facility! This place desperately needs remodeled. The staff deserve to work in a business they can be proud of. As a customer for over 30 years I am disappointed.. I used to work here as a teen mom. It was bad 21 years ago. It certainly has not improved. Come on Long John Silver's!...
