This place is one of the coolest coffee shops I've ever been to and was so good it honestly made me want to go back and reduce the high ratings that I've given to other coffee shops (which I'm not going to do, I'm not that mean LOL) because I don't think anywhere else I've been to is even comparable to Pop's.
Starting off with the atmosphere, Pop's has a very sleek and modern interior with a Motorcycle theme- I especially like the helmet wall that you see when you first walk in. It is so uniquely designed and has a lot of light that comes in through its large windows. There are long tables, small tables, and there is also additional seating towards the back of the restaurant. There is also a little shop inside that I think I'll have to grab something from during my next visit.
Food: I tried 3 different empanadas, the Corn Empanada, Ham and Cheese Empanada, and the Cheesy Chicken Empanadas and all of them were to die for. They are $5 each, so a bit on the pricier end, but a little bigger than what I was expecting and pretty filling. I was truthfully so shocked with how high quality the food was- this is a place I would come to just for food if I don't need coffee.
Coffee: For my drink, I got their speciality Maple Sea Salt Latte (iced) and it was delicious. It was recommended to me by the barista and it definitely did not miss. I also tried my friend's drink, the Honey Lavender Latte (hot) and this was hands down the tastiest Lavender Latte I've ever had. I was so impressed with how much the lavender jumps out when you take a sip. Every other Lavender Latte I've tried feels very watered-down, but this one felt so perfectly balanced. I cannot wait to go back and order one for myself next time.
The service was great! The staff was friendly and very helpful. I asked the employee working at the register what syrups they had available and he didn't hesitate to read out every single one to me (I think there were at least 20 different syrups, I've never been to a coffee shop with more than this!).
Overall, SO wowed by this place and wouldn't be surprised if I became a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe went to Pop's Cafe on a Saturday morning for a quick breakfast and coffee. I had no idea of this place and by the name I thought it would be a cozy mom and pop's coffee place. I was pleasantly surprised to see a biker cafe alongside the triumph store with a queue of bikes outside the place (I am an avid bike fan). I just loved this place. Here is the summary of my experience there:
Ambiance 5/5: I might be biased here but I loved the ambiance which oozed out a broker soul for every end of it. The icing on the cake is having the ability to take a look at the adjacent triumph bike store since this coffee shop is an extension of it. I loved the helmet collection on their wall.
Service 5/5: The service and the front desk were both prompt and did not mind helping with multiple modifications and answering questions. They were sweet and obliged all our requests, helping us with their suggestions when asked.
Food: We had chicken empanadas and hot chocolate here and loved it
Hot chocolate: This was the apt sweetness for me but might be less sugary for some. It was thick with a great chocolate flavor. The price was reasonable too.
Chicken Empanadas: Everyone loved the chicken empanadas here. I especially loved the inscription on each of the empanadas
Value for Money 5/5: The prices were reasonable and did not hit your pocket. They are pocket friendly especially when combined with a great ambiance and a chance to look at cool bikes :)
In summary, I would definitely recommend this place if you are a biker head and would love to sit down and relax and not mind being surrounded by bikers and strike up an interesting conversation. This place is great if you want to sit down in silence and work without a lot of intervention
A request to the store: If possible, please include handmade chips for an authentic taste and not just...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLeaving a review because this place caught me off guard, and there's a few things I want to talk about. When I heard "motorcycle coffee shop", I expected something different. The atmosphere is surprisingly chill, which is great for all the people working on their laptops. The coffee and food tastes great, and is served with the most classy presentation I've ever seen in a place that dedicates half it's menu to coffee.
This isn't just a regular coffee shop. They've got style. The brownies had the perfect balance of crunchy on the top and warm and gooey on the inside. It's the kind of consideration to texture that I'd expect from a 5 star restaurant, not a coffee shop that's literally in between two car dealerships. This place cares about the little things. The wifi password is printed on the bottom of your receipt, and the latte art is top notch. They've got charging outlets on almost all the seating. If I lived closer, I'd definitely make this one of my regular places.
Now for the random information time. Finding parking is horrible, and expect to sit in a large table with other people, both as expected from a busy coffee shop. But I can't be mad because they're popular. There's dedicated motorcycle parking in the front, if you've got one. It's a good use of limited space my their front deck. Pops also smells like new rubber tires, which is odd, but kind of endearing. The smell isn't overwhelming, but you can't forget where you are. Service was friendly and helpful.
A great experience, with high quality food, good service, and a unique but refreshing atmosphere. 10/10 coffee shop. I'll be back to Pops Coffee whenever I'm on this...
