We drive 2 hours just to eat here… it’s BEYOND delicious. We ordered the sampler with half&half regular and spicy hummus. Their spicy hummus is so great but we like to mix the two. Their hummus is fresh and has a great flavor. Their grape leaves are amazing to say the least. The falafel is cooked perfectly with just the right amount of fluff in the middle. We definitely recommend getting a side of taziki with this. The kabob combo is wonderful. The meat is well seasoned, flavorful and tender. You can really tell they take their time to prepare and cook it to perfection. The rice is moist and delicious, the grilled fresh tomato and jalapeño you get with it really tie it in. Get Sara’s spicy sauce with it! (It’s not very spicy, it’s more for flavor!) The gyro wrap is fantastic! The meat is flavorful and tastes great with the onion, tomato and taziki sauce nicely wrapped in their freshly made pita. I pair this with the mediterranean side salad which is also great! The pistachio baklava IS A MUST ORDER!! It’s fresh and absolutely DELICIOUS. Mediterranean food is not the easiest cuisine to make. You can go the cheap way and get a bunch of frozen stuff or you can take the time to make everything from scratch.. and that’s exactly what Sara’s does. We have eaten here several times and their quality is always consistent. I don’t think I will ever love a restaurant more! I am so glad we found this amazing restaurant that’s family owned and operated! It’s almost as if they get better somehow every time we eat here.
The first time we ate here, they were decently busy. They had several tables full of people and they also had what looked like to be a large catering gig. Even though they were busy, our waitress was on top of it! The owner even took the time to come by and check in with us and we talked with him about their food for a bit.
The first time we ate here, our waitress Kamryn (sorry if I spelled your name wrong), was the sweetest thing. She was so nice and friendly. She made our experience 10/10! Today, we had Tala as our server and she is just as wonderful! Their restaurant and what you can see of the kitchen is so clean too! GO EAT HERE!!! You will not be disappointed in their quality of food or service!
I also want to add we have taken food to go and it’s just as delicious the...
Read moreJust driving through Roswell looking for something to eat, and we saw Sara’s. My husband and I both love Mediterranean, especially Lebanese, food, so we stopped. They had just closed, but when they saw how much we had gotten our hopes up, considering there are no other Mediterranean restaurants in Roswell, they let us in anyway, and everyone was really nice about it, so 5 stars for service. We both got chicken shawarmas, which is a given for me. It is my absolute favorite food. When I took my first bite, I just about melted. It was perfection. I have eaten this particular dish in multiple restaurants in multiple states, and this one is in the Top 3 without a doubt. It’s possibly number one, but I would have to do a side-by-side comparison to say for sure. Just in the flavor category, it brought me back to Bahrain where I had my first shawarma and ate them about three times a week for two years. What set this one apart was the fact that they grilled the outside, which kept the generous amount of perfectly seasoned chicken and delicious sauce held neatly together. My other top two are also delicious, but quite messy. I apologize for the lack of picture, but I got too excited when I saw it and took a bite right away, and it was so good I didn’t put it down - just ate it up. The only reason I gave the atmosphere 4 stars instead of 5 is because it was more cafe atmosphere than Mediterranean. It was still very clean...
Read moreWe’re traveling cross-country so I can show my British husband the natural wonders and sights in the United States. Sometimes it’s difficult finding something other than fast food or chain restaurants. But today, we stumbled upon this family-owned restaurant that’s been open for about a month. It was a gift from the culinary gods. I ordered the appetizer sampler for my lunch, which included baba ghanoush, falafel, and grape leaves (and a generous serving of pita). All three were among the best I’ve eaten and that’s saying something as I’m from NYC and eat out a lot. My husband ordered the gyro salad (gyro meat on a Mediterranean salad). It came with Sara’s sauce and we also ordered a side of tzatziki sauce. Yum! While we were eating, I overheard some ladies telling their server that it was the first time they had eaten this kind of food and how much they loved it. On the way out, I spoke to a man picking up an order who had already eaten at the restaurant 13 times. I was really glad to see that Roswell was embracing this addition to their neighborhood. I want to add that our server was absolutely lovely. It’s such a warm, friendly vibe. I was kind of stunned by how inexpensive our lunch was for such quality, delicious food. Definitely give this place a try. You...
